Okay, I'm 14 years old and I'm in middle school for starters. Currently, I'm taking a community college class learning Japanese and I plan to be fluent in the language by 2008 so I can go to schol in Japan as a foreign exchange student. Maybe I'll see some of my Wikifriends who may live in Japan there. But i didn't create a whole page just to talk about school so I'll just stop right now.
I am a huge fan of Anime and Manga, of which my favorites are Full Metal Alchemist. D.N.Angel is also among my favorite manga, so that's something to actually check out from your local library. Call me an outsider, but Ska and jazz rock are my favorite genres of music. Specifically, Reel Big Fish, Streetlight Manifesto and Less Than Jake are some of my favorite bands, so if you're looking to fill up those extra 10 gigabytes on your iPods, these bands are a nice addition to your library.
Trying to get my ideas and perspectives out to the world, my friends and I (Scrumshus is one of them) are shooting a documentary and writing a report on how soceity markets body images to the youth, why it must be stopped, and people's opinions on these stereotypical views. Example: Is it wrong for someone to be gay? Society would tell you so, and only one state recognizes gay-marriage as legal, while only 7 more recognize same-sex unions, and in the 1970s, being gay was recognized as a mental disability. Why? Society, my friends. My documentary will hopefully be a step into removing these stereotypes and society-created standards.
