Greetings
editHello Ben. You know, i know who you are (from cub scouts long ago), although i dont know if you know me. I am from the class of 2004, but you probably know my brother who graduated in your class. Anyways, yes, as you can tell, i have taken the liberty to start and write articles for Edina. I guess you could call it the Edina WikiProject, although there is nothing offical. The format that i like to use is pretty much similar to all the articles i have started or edited, so feel free to take a look if you are new here. It will be nice to have someone helping me out, seeing as i am also a student. Pictures: As you can see from my babel box, i go to school out in Seattle, WA, so i dont have the opportunity to take pictues. I guess if you have the chance, here are pictures that i would like for various articles (although we may want to wait until summer):
- One of the Edina High School (although we may just want to wait, b/c i dont want the main picture in the article to have all that construction in it. Although, we might want a good one with the construction in it to emphasize that point in the article)
- One of the Old Cahill School house (next to the city hall and perkins)
- One of the Edina City Hall
- One of the Edinbourough Complex (outside) and one inside shot
- One of the main Centennial building, as well as one of the grounds
- Outdoor shot of braemar ice rink
- Outdoor shot of Jerry's Foods
- Outdoor and Indoor shot of a Byerlys store
- Outdoor shot of downtown 50th and France
Those are just what i need right now. Please be advised that i may want to replace any later with some that i take (I am quite picky about what i want to convey in my articles), but just getting some in the articles would be great. Also, i totally agree about the Carl Pohlad issue. I had been debating the issue with Pfalstad for quite some time until i gave it up because i could not produce a hard lined source. Any help with that would be great.
Also, if you can come up with a list of things you would like to create articles for (for lets call it, the Edina Project) and put them on your user page, i could compare and throw my two cents in. For i while, i wanted to write articles about such things as Braemar Golf Course, The Edina Art Center, The Edina Pool, etc., but eventually just outside linked them to their respective websites because of time and low priority. But if you are looking for things to write, those would definitally be a start. Just make sure to change them to wikilinks on the Edina page and anywhere else they might be.
Alright, well i know i have written a lot, but i guess i had a lot to say. Good to have you on board, and let me know if you have any questions about formatting or wikipedia. Thanks!--Gephart 05:42, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, if you want to mabye finish the Centennial Lakes Park article that would be great. I just started a general article, but I definitally think there is room for expansion. --Gephart 18:04, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

Loudspeaker peer review request
editI've requested the article Loudspeaker to have peer review. I noticed it was pretty good and might deserve a GA status. If you can take a look at it too and help evaluate and improve it's quality, that would be great. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/DL.TV. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

- I'm going to take the positive step of suggesting covering all your bases with a Fair Use tag as that butter head is no doubt no longer in existence and this low res image is one of the only ways to get an image, etc, etc. --Bobak (talk) 21:12, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- All of the images in the "butter sculptures" category on Commons were nominated for deletion, and unfortunately most probably will be deleted. Unlike Commons, however, the English Wikipedia does permit some fair use. Jonathunder (talk) 06:25, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

editIt was great to see you at the meetup
editHi, Ben,
I was glad you made it to the meet-up yesterday. And I was especially glad that you ordered bangers and mash (which I have never seen), as I have long been curious about that dish. Have you had other presentations of that before? It was fun to hear your perspective on editing during the discussion. I hope I'll run into you on various articles, and I welcome you to comment on any of my edits you happen to encounter. I'm still thinking about the whole issue of photographs of butter sculptures. -- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk, how I edit) 21:43, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Southwest Transitway.svg)
editThanks for uploading File:Southwest Transitway.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. A tag has been placed on National Center for Engineering and Technology Education requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. User:Namiba 13:09, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
The article National Center for Engineering and Technology Education has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Academic center which lacks sufficient sourcing or claims of notability.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. User:Namiba 13:14, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
The article CrankyGeeks has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Does not meet WP:GNG. The majority of WP:GHITS are from PC Mag and Market Watch because the host has written for both sites. The remaining google hits are for a Spanish band with the same name, extremely trivial mentions of the show, blogs, or non-independent sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
