Hi!

See you've made your first and second edits! Put the articles in my sandbox when you're ready and I'll make some revisions! Good luck with editing. Cool BlueLight my Fire! 20:34, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Alright, you can see your contributions here. (This doesn't include pages on your watchlist). I'm working on that element research assignment right now, but I thought I'd check in. Cool BlueLight my Fire! 20:43, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Alright, you can sign your post by putting four tildes (~) (right under the escape key by pushing shift). Cool BlueLight my Fire! 20:45, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hold on a second, I'll give an explanation in just a minute. I'm working on finding the family of rutherfordium right now. Just edit a few articles, and I'll get back to you. Cool BlueLight my Fire! 20:49, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

User tag

edit

I saw you tried to insert a usertag that didn't exist, so I found one, and put it on. Cool BlueLight my Fire! 20:58, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I just found them on other userpages and articles, and I just put them on myself. Cool BlueLight my Fire! 21:00, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Sure. Just tell me what kinds of tags you want and I'll put them on your page. Cool BlueLight my Fire! 21:09, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Well, most of them don't apply to you, or possibly mirror your interests, so just tell me any topic and I'll find one on it. By the way, you're still not logged in. Cool BlueLight my Fire! 21:16, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Done. I had to remove the hindu one because I am going to have to reformat it. Cool BlueLight my Fire! 21:21, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
OK. The software alignment didn't comply with the tag, so the tag was absorbing all of the other templates. It's fixed now, though. Cool BlueLight my Fire! 21:33, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Wikiproject Dungeons and Dragons

Here's an example of a WikiProject. It's a pretty big undertaking. Are you sure that's what you meant to create? -FisherQueen (Talk) 21:36, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Misunderstanding

edit

[1] That's the project. I've seemed to have misled you. There is one. Cool BlueLight my Fire! 21:37, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

And I've tagged the other for deletion, so no harm done and we're all happy. Go team! -FisherQueen (Talk) 21:39, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've added the D&D template to your talkpage. Just sign yourself up. Cool BlueLight my Fire! 21:43, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Template

edit

I made a template for you. It is this. I have put it on your userpage. If you don't like it, you can take it off. Also, there are still some irrelevant tags on your userpage, (even though I've already removed some).

recent edits

edit

I am wondering if you could please explain the following edit [2] you made to my user talk page. Also, I am wondering why you reversed my tagging of an orphaned image to be moved to Commons [3]. The image is an orphan and rather then nominate it for deletion I tagged it to be moved.

An explanation of the two edits would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.--User:Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr) 21:00, 20 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unsigned edit accrusing of unspecified vandalism

edit

Hi Bmader, I have moved a recent edit you made to my talk page to the bottom of the page assuming good faith that you have actually added there in mistake. If you did make these edits intentionally can I request three things:

  1. New commennts on talk page are added to the bottom of page or relevant existing section
  2. Please sign and date all comments using ~~~~
  3. Please specify exactly what edits you are claiming are nonconstructive and/or vandalism

Thanks - Waza 21:32, 20 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hey. I just wanted to explain that you generally don't warn administrators, or other high-profile editors, you leave a note on their talk page explaining the incident. Otherwise, glad to hear you're having fun! Good luck! Cool BlueLight my Fire! 21:47, 20 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Good

edit

Good to see you're on right now. Unfortunately, your edit at RuneScape was reverted. This is due to WP:OR and WP:NPOV. If you have any questions, just post them to my talk page. (Note:I didn't make the revert:I'm just relaying you the information) Cool Bluetalk to me 00:26, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Character Creation

edit

Well, they just undid your revision. Contact User:Christopher Connor at his talkpage for the reason, because I don't know what it is at first glance. But I'll look at it again. Cool Bluetalk to me 17:24, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

It looks like NPOV, and MoS concerns. The user also states in his edit summary Unencyclopedic, and not of interest to the general reader. Cool Bluetalk to me 21:47, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, it's just that your addition was too off-topic for an encyclopedia and only people interested in the game would find that information useful. Editors on the article are on the lookout for such information to make sure the article doesn't get too bloated. But there are other wikis like UESPWiki and OblivionWiki where you'll be able to add such material. In fact, I say unencyclopedic, but you might find that you're able to add such information to Gameplay of The Elder Scrolls series – there's a section dedicated to character creation in Oblivion. You'll have to change your style though, like not using 'you', colloquialisms, or any jokes. I appreciate your enthusiasiam. Christopher Connor 00:57, 6 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Chris is right, that last sentence is exactly what I'm trying to say. Cool Bluetalk to me 22:41, 23 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your changes at RuneScape look good. There were a few minor NPOV violations, but I corrected them. You can see the diff here. Cool Bluetalk to me 17:30, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

As you become more & more recognized in the community here, you'll probably need to set a default e-mail address. If you would like, you can set yours as mine, and I can relay you the information. This is a pretty cool tool. You can view your statistics here. You can view mine here if you want to. As always, you can always post any questions to my talkpage. Stardust element

edit

As much as I hate to tell you this, Stardust element is up for CFSD. There were WP:OR and WP:V concerns. Get back to me... Cool Bluetalk to me 22:59, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP:OR is suggesting that you pulled that information off the top of your head, and you didn't get it from outside sources. WP:V means that your information isn't verified or sourced, and that can cause some issues. There are also some tone problems that can be fixed. Cool Bluetalk to me 23:23, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Confirmed, there is one, here. Cool Bluetalk to me 23:27, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Good, but make the case on the talk page. Go to User:Cool Blue/Citing stardust, and add all of the page numbers, the name of the book, and the author from the fact, and I'll cite it. They can't delete it because of tone. (Note:User:Cool Blue/Citing stardust is non-existent. Please create it)
You have to make a case on the talk page in order for it to be considered for keeps. Cool Bluetalk to me 23:53, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

D&D wiki project consensus

edit

A call to all members of the D&D wiki project. We are currently having a major dispute that needs to be settled by all members of the D&D wiki project. The dispute is as follows. 1. Should we put disambiguation tags on D&D articles preemptively or should we wait until there is an article conflict with some other Wikipedia article. Vote on preemptive or wait.

2. What should we label these tags? Example "child's play (module)", or "child's play (adventure)" and at this point we are taking all suggestions.

email me at Dm2ortiz@aol.com or post on the D&D wiki project talk page Dm2ortiz 13:32, 12 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP:VG - CB

edit

Hey, I haven't talked to you in a while! I see you've been having a little trouble having edits stay on the page, so I thought these few links might help with your interest at WP:VG.

These are some requested tasks that you might be able to help out with.

P.S. - You're talkpage is a bit cluttered up with messages from User:GSalt, (and probably me for that matter). You might want to remove (rm) the off-topic messages. Nice talking to you. Cool Bluetalk to me 16:35, 28 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP:CVU status

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! WikiProject: Dungeons & Dragons

edit

Hi! I’ve been working on a lot of ‘’Dungeons & Dragons’’ articles lately and saw that you were a member of WikiProject Dungeons & Dragons), and am inviting you to rejoin Wikipedia’s D&D group. I've been hard at work removing tags placed inappropriately on D&D articles, as well as modifying articles to remove tags that were placed legitimately. In addition, I have been compiling related articles together so that the articles are longer, making it easier to remove tags and to have short articles on lesser topics by just putting it into another appropriate article (links to such compiled articles can be found on my userpage). Check out the project here , and ask any questions that you may have here. Thank you for your time. Drilnoth (talk) 20:30, 7 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Pittsburgh event for Wikipedia's tenth anniversary

edit

Hi! Since you have a connection to Pittsburgh, I wanted to invite you to the Wikipedia Tenth Anniversary celebrations we're having in Pittsburgh on Saturday, January 15. During the daytime, we're going to be having a photo contribution drive where anyone can bring in their digital photos or prints and Wikipedians will teach people how to upload them and add them to articles, and maybe introduction to Wikipedia workshops as well. Then in the evening, we'll have fun at the Carson City Saloon. There will be free Wikipedia t-shirts and other goodies, as well. See the Pittsburgh meetup page for more details. I hope to see you there!--ragesoss (talk) 15:34, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:WikiProject Pittsburgh activity and membership

edit

Wikipedia:WikiProject Pittsburgh is rolling out some new features (see our discussions at WT:PITTSBURGH). We are also trying to determine how many members are active, and interested in contributing to Pittsburgh content or coming to our real life meetups to discuss Wikipedia in general. I see you are listed in Category:WikiProject Pittsburgh members but you have not added yourself to our member listing. If you could go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Pittsburgh/Members and add your to the active or semi-active group (depending on your interest in Pittsburgh issue and overall activity) groups, this would be great. Hopefully in a near future you'll also receive our first newsletter with various information on what we have been doing, and what useful tools are available (note that this newsletter and many other Pittsburgh-related notices will be automated and send only to editors who have added themselves to our members page). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 20:24, 26 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

New deal for page patrollers

edit

Hi Bmader,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
