Hi, "Captain433180" and welcome to Wikipedia. A few tips for you:

Hello again. Vandalism of random user pages is actually fairly rare. However vandalism can happen anywhere with an open community, but most of it gets spotted and reverted quite quickly. Cheers, -- Infrogmation 05:33, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Airport on Collaboration of the Week

edit

As grand poobah of Wikipedia:WikiProject Airports, I recently listed airport on Wikipedia:Collaboration of the Week. This article is about to fall off the page due to lack of votes, beaten by an article on ancient rome. You know what to do Burgundavia (✈ take a flight?) 22:44, May 13, 2005 (UTC)

Airport pictures

edit

If you have any you have taken, lets get them up onto the Commons. Even if they don't have an article, upload them anyway. Cheers. Burgundavia (✈ take a flight?) 08:48, May 18, 2005 (UTC)

I noticed you added all the manitoba airports. However, you didn't actually list them. We need red links to the names of the airports, not blue links to the towns. Cheers. Burgundavia (✈ take a flight?) 13:52, May 24, 2005 (UTC)

Wikimedia Canada

edit

Hi there! I'd like to invite you to explore Wikimedia Canada, and create a list of people interested in forming a local chapter for our nation. A local chapter will help promote and improve the organization, within our great nation. We'd also like to encourage everyone to suggest projects for our national chapter to participate in. Hope to see you there! -- user:zanimum

Avaition Help?

edit

Hi: I'm really interested in aviation and I'm using Flight Gear Simulator. I've just gotten the Cessna Citation Bravo Model and I was wondering whether you could tell me how to read the controls and instruments in the cockpit. You see, it's sort of hard to land when you don't know what speed you're gong or your altitude etc. I'm also curious on how/what the engines controls mean. I mean their like vertical bars with numbers on them and that's it! Anyway, if you could give me some help, that would be AWESOME. Signor Pastrini 04:59, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

An exciting opportunity to get involved!

As a member of the Aviation WikiProject or one of its subprojects, you may be interested in testing your skills in the Aviation Contest! I created this contest, not to pit editor against editor, but to promote article improvement and project participation and camraderie. Hopefully you will agree with its usefulness. Sign up here, read up on the rules here, and discuss the contest here. The first round of the contest may not start until September 1st-unless a large number of editors signup and are ready to compete immediately! Since this contest is just beginning, please give feedback here, or let me know what you think on my talkpage. - Trevor MacInnis contribs 23:45, 21 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia is celebrating its 15th birthday on January 15, 2016. I have thought for a while that it would be neat to meet some local wikipedians. According to the wikipedians in Winnipeg or Wikipedians in Manitoba category you are one of us. I am contacting people in this category to say: Let's celebrate this milestone. If you know other wikipedians, please ask them to join in as well.

I am posting this to your talk page as a transclude so that any updates will show up automatically.

Hope to see you there! Tenbergen (talk) 04:46, 22 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

One other Winnipeg Wikipedian showed up, in addition to a number of regular skullspace members. It was nice to actually talk to someone else who has worked with Mediawiki and actually "gets" transclusion. Cake was eaten! Tenbergen (talk) 06:37, 16 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Aw, apparently I haven't logged in to Wikipedia in over 6 years and I totally missed this message and the event! I guessed I missed any 20 year celebration, too. Let me know if you end up doing a 25 year one. :) Clayton Rumley (talk) 22:52, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
