Speedy deletion nomination of Cecilia grace
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Cecilia grace requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. --The Σ talkcontribs 18:51, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

Your recent edits
editHello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 20:52, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

editHi. I'm sorry some of the other people that edit the Wikipedia might not have been very nice to you. However, it's not really anybody's job here to help you make articles, especially when it's an article that probably doesn't stand much of a chance of meeting all our rules. Yep, I know we call it 'The encyclopedia anyone can edit', but the downside is that it doesn't mean 'anyone can write about just anything'. Gecilia Grace (notice the capital letters) has been deleted because she apparently hasn't done enough to get a record contract, sell a million discs, and get written about in proper books and newspapers. That's it I'm afraid. Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure you didn't join Wikipedia just to write about her, so if you come up with an article and write it in your sandbox first, where it won't get deleted, you can always ask me on my talk page what I think about it. If it looks good, I might even offer some help. Happy editing! --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 01:28, 9 June 2011 (UTC)

editI've tried to be helpful to you and I've explained at length why there is not going to be an article about Cecilia Grace whose - name you can't even spell properly. Please stop bothering other editors about it, otherwise you might get into trouble for being disruptive. I suggest you now really take the time to read up on our policies before you write anything else on Wikipedia, including on people's talk pages, because we have rules for that too, and you'll probably get no more help from anyone until you have. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 14:52, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

editYou stated on my talk page that you were 16. You might want to read User:Fetchcomms/Children_and_Wikipedia for more details. --The Σ talkcontribs 01:56, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- Really? This seems to be another essay that isn't principally of use to the people that it is about. Don't you think? --Demiurge1000 (talk) 02:03, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- After the introduction, sections 1 and 2. --The Σ talkcontribs 02:30, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- True, the essay is not aimed at children, but children in the 10 - 16 age group who have an advanced cognition for their years may learn a lot from it, particularly those who can act in a grown up manner, are capable of functioning in a highly collaborative environment, and are ready to take on responsible tasks such as editing the encyclopedia and giving advice to others. I would urge children of any age or level of maturity to read anything we have on the topic of young editors - especially those who have difficulty in understanding our rules, and/or interacting with other editors. If they understand it, there is a lot gained, if they don't, there is nothing lost. What many of our editors (who may be not much older) must learn, is to be kinder to all new editors, provide warm and welcoming advice rather than curt statements, and offer a friendly environment on their own talk and user pages. Plenty of 'Sue is awesome' page creators have gone on to create DYK, GA, and a bothersome kid today could very easily become the CEO of the Wikimedia Foundation in ten years time. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:45, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- Just so. But while I often ask apparent teenagers to read a potentially very useful essay, I would steer well clear of identifying apparent teenagers for the purpose of then feeding them a list of reading material that some of them could feel explains reasons to discriminate against them. After all, the feedback we have so far, is that most consider even the first essay to be over-long. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 03:09, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- That is very true, walls of text are endemic at Wikipedia. Most of the essays, policies, adults and instructions are written by adults who tend to forget that an extraordinary high percentage of users are young people. That's why after a discussion with Brad, I recast his essay -` and it's still to long! Even the Article Wizard, created in the very best of good faith, is a tad confusing.
