ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
editHello, Cla68. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

March Madness 2017
editG'day all, please be advised that throughout March 2017 the Military history Wikiproject is running its March Madness drive. This is a backlog drive that is focused on several key areas:
- tagging and assessing articles that fall within the project's scope
- updating the project's currently listed A-class articles to ensure their ongoing compliance with the listed criteria
- creating articles that are listed as "requested" on the project's various task force pages or other lists of missing articles.
As with past Milhist drives, there are points awarded for working on articles in the _targeted areas, with barnstars being awarded at the end for different levels of achievement.
The drive is open to all Wikipedians, not just members of the Military history project, although only work on articles that fall (broadly) within the military history scope will be considered eligible. More information can be found here for those that are interested, and members can sign up as participants at that page also.
The drive starts at 00:01 UTC on 1 March and runs until 23:59 UTC on 31 March 2017, so please sign up now.
For the Milhist co-ordinators. Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) & MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 07:24, 26 February 2017 (UTC)

If you ever pop in...
editPlease could you take a look at User:Dweller/Featured Articles that haven't been on Main Page, re Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands. Thanks. --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned!
- Dweller, I took a look at this article, and I think it holds up quite well. Cla last edited it in November 2015 and there is nothing to preclude its appearance on the main page, if that is your aim. (As I'm sure you know, the battle lasted from 25 to 27 October 1942; the first two dates have been requested for other articles but the 27th is available.) I have some of the sources Cla used and can assist with any work that should be done for TFA. Kablammo (talk) 21:21, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Kablammo. Thanks for the reply. Can you help with checking/adding sources to the paragraph identified as problematic? --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 10:18, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
And NB I've now nominated Guadalcanal Campaign for main page on Feb 9 2018, 75th anniv of its conclusion. --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 14:22, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
Sorry I hadn't realised you were blocked. You'd think the pink message above would have given it away. Glad Kablammo is able to help. If you do ever return to Wikipedia, please say hello. --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 10:14, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
