You made an excellent point at the AfD, so I tagged the article itself for expansion and sourcing. I will even try so myself if a rescuer does not get to it. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 03:05, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Tomorrow afternoon, as a matter of fact. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 06:26, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

DYK nomination

Shavua Tov! I had made a few tweaks to Biomedical Tissue Services (located just a few miles from my home in Teaneck) and nominated the article for inclusion at T:TDYK. I admire the breadth and scope of the article's you have created, and strongly encourage you to let people know abut your new or expanded articles by nominating them for inclusion on the main page at DYK. I must say that I could not agree any more strongly about your opinions regarding the drive by AfD phenomenon. Alansohn (talk) 01:06, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Keep an eye on T:TDYK. The items are usually added about five days after the date of the article's creation, but there is some variability. There may be issues -- too short, hook is too long, Hook is not interesting enough, hook is not sourced, etc. -- which can crop up, but I will also look out for and address these issues. There are four DYK cycles per day, so once it's selected it'll be up on the front page for about six hours at some point during the day. The article will be tagged and you will get a notice once it is selected. It's a great way to bring a broader audience to your articles. Alansohn (talk) 05:21, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Requesting Administrator

helpme Please look into User:King1234567890, as a front for User:Marktna, using it to store and edit copies of articles that consistently violate notability standards, are nominated for speedy deletion, are deleted, and then are recreated as 3 other articles. S.Rajsaurus Narmadensis

Hi DRosenbach. User:Slikkidrajs is flooding Wikipedia with new articles with misspellings of Rajasaurus. Please don't encourage him by nominating them as Start Class [1] --Regards, Necessary Evil (talk) 16:06, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi DRosenbach, I'm not an Administrator so a warning from me does not really matter since I can neither block him nor delete his articles. I know that people can change but not within a few hours. So if a 'scumbag' is misbehaving, his attitude should be presented. I wrote to you because I feared that you had a robot inserting "start-class" messages to all new dinosaur pages. Regarding writing to him, I did it once, without any answer. If he'd answered me I would have posted some piece of advice but I don't like talking to a wall :-) I'm sorry if you feel that you have been abused in this matter, my apologies. --Regards, Necessary Evil (talk) 17:32, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi DRosenbach, I must admit that warning from a non-admin could be a good idea. Slikkidrajs did stop editing dinosaur articles after your warning. Even though he began creating new dog articles with material from an existing article 8-) --Regards, Necessary Evil (talk) 17:51, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Administrator Acroterion deleted both IM .Corso and CC.Italian Mastiff since Slikkidrajs had created them with the content from Cane Corso. Thanks for the idea of archiving. Your example will be copied and pasted in the future. --Regards, Necessary Evil (talk) 18:26, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

over-hasty

Please do not speedy incomplete articles as nonsense the first few minutes of their existence, even if they sound unfamiliar. This is especially true for material which seems to be being in the process of being translated or rewritten from another language. . cf. Bücherei des Schocken Verlag. Thank you for your help

Hi Dale. I just wanted to let you know that I am continuing to contribute to Wikipedia and now have quite a range of user boxes on my home page. Thanks for taking the time to help me when I first started. I still have a lot to learn, but the advice and information you gave me at the beginning was so helpful. Wanted to thank you also for taking the time to be so friendly and kind. I hope all is well with you. VincenzoMc (talk) 22:00, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Titles for rabbis in articles

Hi DRosenbach: I noticed that you "touched up" the article [2] about Rabbi Yaakov Weinberg. However those changes are not really required because the conventional manner of linking to a subject in articles is usually by leaving it as the name it appears in in the article. Thus changing Rabbi Noach Weinberg to Rabbi Noach Weinberg or Rabbi Elya Svei to Rabbi Elya Svei is redundant and not the normal naming procedure. You do not really add anything to a rabbi's name or to any person by having their full title inside the link to their article. It is quite all right and correct to leave it as Rabbi Noach Weinberg or Rabbi Elya Svei. Also, it is not required to have too many links to a subject in an article once the subject has been mentioned and linked to once or twice in an article already. Hope this helps. Best wishes, IZAK (talk) 03:53, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Vertebra

Please note that there are articles devoted to in depth descriptions of each of the various vertebral regions. Please keep descriptions in the vertebra article very short. -- Fyslee / talk 20:24, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:Mattisyahukc.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Mattisyahukc.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

 1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add , without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
 2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 00:30, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Eliyahu Benamozegh

A tag has been placed on Eliyahu Benamozegh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. flaminglawyercneverforget 22:48, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

You are not good enough to contribute to the Intelligent design article.

Only a small clique of self-appointed "experts" on the topic are allowed to contribute to, repair, or edit that article in any way. If you oppose anything they add (or delete), they will eventually have you blocked from editing.

Just drink the kool-aid. 71.254.7.35 (talk) 20:28, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Name

Yes, I meant Rosenbach, pardon me. Sometimes it's hard to get the fingers to type what they ought-- like "bach" (the image of a brook by which one's ancestors lived); vis-a-vis "berg" (the Rosens that lived up on the mountain). My apology. ... Kenosis (talk) 17:46, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Seeking a Wikipedia professional

helpme I constructed a template today entitled Template:ADADS for ADA-accredited dental schools. I then began finding articles on these dental schools and gradually adding them to the template. However, the updated template does not load to the earlier articles -- thus, the article for a school that I added to the template early now shows an early version of the template without later-added schools. I don't understand why it doesn't self-reload, but maybe you can see why. Thank you in advance! DRosenbach (Talk | Contribs) 03:14, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

AEGD in Canada

I noticed you added Canada to the article inferring that AEGD programs were available in Canada. I know GPR programs are available in Canada, but from what I understand they don't have AEGD programs. There is a program called SEGD (special enhancement in general dentistry) which is similar but not a CODA AEGD. Can you provide any sources for AEGD programs in Canada? File:Pretty little girl.JPG listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, File:Pretty little girl.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. File:Tzipporah.JPG

Another editor nominated File:Tzipporah.JPG for speedy deletion as a unused personal image. I declined the speedy because someone suggested that the image might be appropriate in the Mandelbrodt article. If you have other free images that would be useful illustrations for encyclopedia articles, I would encourage you to add detailed descriptions for them so that other editors don't delete them. I would also encourage you to upload free images to the Wikimedia Commons at http://commons.wikimedia.org so that they can be added to Wikipedias in other languages. -- Eastmain (talk) 04:06, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of File:5unitimp.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:5unitimp.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I8 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is available as a bit-for-bit identical copy on the Wikimedia Commons under the same name, or all references to the image on Wikipedia have been updated to point to the title used at Commons.

Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. Unusual? Hi, sorry, the automated notice is rubbish. Your image hasn't been deleted. It has been moved to Commons. Commons images can still be used in Wikipedia without any change to the article (if you go there now you'll see it is still there). This deletion is just to avoid having two copies of the image.
