B-class review

edit

Re: [1] - please make sure to list it at the WP:MILHIST B-class review section too, they have many more reviewers. FYI, if I were to review it I'd fail it: there are too many unreferenced paragraphs.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:12, 31 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

All photographs have been vetted by licensing protocols at Wiki Commons, but by context, I infer that 'unreferenced' means that something additional is required. Would transfer of the source and licensing info from Commons to a citation in the hosting article make them 'referenced'? Or does 'referencing' mean something else?--Donaldecoho (talk) 13:11, 6 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Placement of photo in Friend to Friend masonic memorial. wikipedia article.

edit

Hi Donald,

A couple years ago, I added a number of clear photos to the article and after a short period of time, they were removed from the article citing information I received at the address listed.

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Deletion_requests/Friend_to_Friend_Masonic_Memorial

It went into detail as follows:

  • This deletion debate is now closed. Please do not make any edits to this archive. You can read the deletion policy or ask a question at the Village pump. If the circumstances surrounding this file have changed in a notable manner, you may re-nominate this file or ask for it to be undeleted.

Friend to Friend Masonic Memorial

   File:Friend to friend full front.jpg
   File:Friendtofriendmasonicmemorial.JPG
   File:Gettysburg Mason Memorial.jpg

These are most of the images in Category:Friend to Friend Masonic Memorial, all in use at en:Friend to Friend Masonic Memorial. According to that article, this memorial was completed in 1993 by the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, which appears to be a private organisation. No reason to believe it's public domain, and there is no freedom of panorama for sculptures in the United States, so these photographs are derivative works of a non-free sculpture. I am not nominating the plaque because as a document it appears to consist almost entirely of proper names with little creative expression. --Dcoetzee (talk) 05:51, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

Giving you a heads-up in case someone removes it.
