@HorsesAreNice: Because of WP:INFOBOXCITE: References are acceptable in some cases, but generally not needed in infoboxes if the content is repeated (and cited) elsewhere or if the information is obvious. Ridership update should be expected in July

I attended the MTA committee meetings on Monday for the first time and heard that there will be a ridership report next month. I would expect the subway ridership to be updated then.--Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 14:01, 20 June 2018 (UTC)

@Kew Gardens 613: It's very cool that you went to the meeting (I wish I could go one day). On the other hand, it's pretty alarming that the MTA is now delaying the ridership report by three months. I was able to talk to Jose Martinez, and we both agree that the MTA is likely looking for a way to make the ridership numbers not look as bad. They used to be released in February, then March, April, May and now July. You are welcome. I am creating a list of abandoned stations in New York City without articles at User:Kew Gardens 613/sandbox 10. Do you know of any that I am missing? @Kew Gardens 613: I guess that for the MTA, it's pretty bad that the subway lost 35 million riders. Pretty embarrassing to say that the subway shed 2% of its total ridership to Uber and Lyft.
