Drawings

edit

I noticed you have been adding sketches to many biographies. Several of your edits have been reverted. Please take a moment to read MOS:IMAGERELEVANCE. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 11:08, 24 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

These are historic and legitimate sketches of famous people of note --that were published in a syndicated Scripps Howard newspaper by art director Manuel Rosenberg and are in his revered collection at Columbia University Rare Archive Library. They are also autographed personally by the person in the drawing (which makes them valuable) as well as signed by the artist. All images I am adding to biographies are public domain --before 1927. I have a legal letter from a lawyer stating this which I have presented previously. Why are edits being reverted? You are not making it enjoyable or easy to contribute and participate in Wikipedia. @HollywoodShui Now you're doing it again over a year later, incorrectly marking your additions as minor—which in effect serves to potentially hide them under the radar, even if that wasn't your intent. These sketches have next to no illustrative value in context for readers of the respective biographies. Stop adding them indiscriminately like this immediately, and make actual justifications for any inclusions based on the actual figure in question and what their article presently contains or requires. What you're doing amounts to an absurd advertisement for this artist if all of your additions were to stick. Remsense ‥  04:27, 25 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
