Translation to German
editHello MTan355, I have a question to your edit on Lexus F. I'm translating this article to the German Wikipedia and I don't understand one sentence: "The first vehicle in the Lexus F marque lineup, the Lexus IS F, was announced in 2006, followed by an F marque coupe concept, the Lexus LFA, in 2007, and the production LFA supercar in 2009."
Does that mean, that the first vehicle was announced in 2006, the second announced in 2007? And what means "and the production LFA supercar in 2009", what is this? Do you mean the production of the LFA-supercar?
I'm sorry for my English and I'm sure this is a stupid question, but I would be very pleased if you could help me. Thanks! --Croesch (talk) 20:39, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
- Apologies for delay in reply, that sentence is as you read it, the "production of the LFA-supercar" in 2009. A concept was shown in 2007, but no production announcement was made at that time. The first production vehicle is dated 2006, second production vehicle is dated 2009. Hope that helps. MTan355 (talk) 01:42, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
Driver side window in Acura CL page
editHi The citing for the window concern leads to the http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov bulletin, which I fail to see where it mentions the manufacturer will replace the part both under warranty and after warranty expiration. Is there any other cited source for this, or I am missing something? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.188.127.253 (talk) 04:58, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
Separating vehicles by generation rather than powertrain or trim level
editHi, I am just dropping a note to inform you of a discussion currently taking place here (Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Automobiles#Mass article merger). In summary, WikiProject Automobiles is soliciting opinions based on the separation of automobile articles by generation, as opposed to other means such as powertrain or trim level. For example, rather than having an article on the Audi S3, the Audi A3 article would be split into two sub-articles (one for each generation), and the S3 content would be moved to the appropriate location. This would place automobiles with common engineering in the same place, as opposed to grouping by a mere marketing term. Since separate articles are always provided to detail the powertrain (engine and transmission, et cetera), the partitioning of articles based on this principle is superfluous (the powertrain is only briefly discussed in the article about the car). The reason for giving the actual powertrain a separate article is to cut down on overlap: engines and transmissions are almost universally used in more than one model.

Disambiguation link notification
editHi. In Lexus RX (XU10), you recently added a link to the disambiguation page JIS (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
