Stuart Burrows
editBetacommand felt that your stub about Stuart Burrows did not establish his notability. Professional singer, contest judge and music tutor are not really enough for inclusion here - see Wikipedia:Notability and WP:MUSIC. -- RHaworth 09:45, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
- What is Betacommand's knowledge of music?
- I've calmed down slightly since yesterday so let's put it this way.
- I've got a couple of albums by a heavy metal band called Cathedral, who are big fans of early Black Sabbath. They've got their own wiki page, but I'll bet more people have heard of Stuart Burrows than them. So why shouldn't he have one too?
- Please don't tell me this is a generational thing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Meltingpot (talk • contribs)
It does not matter what what Betacommand's knowledge is, nor mine, which is very limited. The issue here is notability. OK, you marked the article as a stub - you should actually have used {{singer-stub}} - but even in a stub, you have to say enough to demonstrate that the subject is notable. Why not try again and this time include a bit more, like when he was born, the sort of stuff he sings, notable performances (royal command? - eisteddfod prizes?), his discography, at least one external link (does he have his own website?), etc. It is not a generational thing but, assuming Stuart is "older generation", then your article would be specially welcome because there is a distinct systemic bias here towards youth. Your text is below. After all everyone sings in Wales so you have to work that bit harder to establish notability for a Welsh singer! And if you don't like "mate", can I address you as bach? -- RHaworth 14:19, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
- Stuart Burrows is a Welsh tenor. He was born in Pontypridd, South Wales, and has sung professionally for over 20 years. He has sung all over the world but still makes his home in Wales, where he is active in judging singing contests and coaching young singers.
You don't deserve it - ie. you should have done it - but I have created him for you. Please note how little I have added to your article but I betcher no-one will nominate this version for deletion. Similarly, because I have been up-front about where I got the picture, it will probably stick as well. I admire your catholic taste in music - heavy metal and opera!! -- RHaworth 04:37, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Richard Milton
editHi Meltingpot
I'm contacting you because you have contributed to the page and discussion on Richard Milton. I am working on a re-write for Richard Milton's page. This is my first wikipedia project, so I have written something up in sandbox, and am inviting comments, as I would like to get it right in sandbox rather than publishing it and getting lots of flak.
Would you be so kind as to have a look at my sandbox and my talk on this?
Thank you

Disambiguation link notification for January 4
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Oliver Anderson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Wayne Arthurs. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

editHi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Neil Dewsnip article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 08:52, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks (and for being polite). I don't know how reliable it is, but my source for Neil's date of birth was this article;
