How does one protect articles?
Nyttend, I have been in an edit war with a revolving IP address users over the improper use of acronyms that violate English grammar rule—once an acronym has been defined it should not be repeatedly redefined in every following bulleted item in a list. I am getting tired of trying to teach this unregistered editor about English grammar rules. How do I request edit restriction on specific articles from IP user edits? --McChizzle (talk) 00:41, 4 January 2020 (UTC)

Hello, Nyttend,
I was wondering what you would think of lifting protection on this talk page. You placed protection on it in 2015 because of vandalism but I was wondering if that problem might be over after 5 years. I have been evaluating talk pages with semi-protection to see if they can once again be open to all editors. What do you think about this one? Thanks. Liz Read! Talk! 00:41, 19 February 2020 (UTC)
The article Paraná Banco has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Not in english, no references to its size, or notability in general. Only uses the bank itself as source, with no third-party sources, which auto-fails WP:PSTS.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
I noticed you previously opposed deletion of Paraná Banco, I have recently proposed its deletion again, which is something you may find of interest. Regards, Richevans69 (talk) 18:18, 19 February 2020 (UTC)
Beaver Falls Cutlery Company
Hi Nyttend. Thank you very much for that information you left on my talk page, and for the very useful images. I have corrected the text of the above article on the basis of good faith, because you have better access to sources and local information in Penn than I do in England. I checked Whatmore, and the source agrees entirely with your information. I remember when I was putting the article together, I found conflicting information which I attempted to resolve. I am glad that you have now put it right. I have changed the image size of your new pictures to thumbnails, because fixed-size images cause problems with all the different-sized screens available now, and because some Wikipedians use a preference feature which allows them to view images at their chosen size (but that does not work with fixed-size images). I hope that's OK. The pictures are useful for local people and visitors who will now be able to stand on the spot where that history happened - an important aspect. Please let me know if you spot any other inconsistencies in the text. Storye book (talk) 10:58, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
