AfD nomination of Thuravoor, Angamaly
editAn editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Thuravoor, Angamaly. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thuravoor, Angamaly. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:07, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Divisions in Maharashtra
editAs of now, this is the only legal information I could get. I do not find anything, any legal reference, related to Latur Division bcoz, it is more over clear that if the division has to be made, it will be Nanded only, whereas Latur being the second sub-division in Aurangabad division after Nanded. I am not sure, but may be, since last 8-9 yrs we have Maharashtra CM from this area, people would have had a thought of putting Latur's name as a separate division, but the reference I provided is a legal reference and it shows Nanded. Great News!!!
editUnable to resist bacon's temptations, rogue editors have kicked off the Bacon Challenge 2010 before the New Year even starts! This is a fun and collegial event and all are welcome. There are many non-pork articles for editors who enjoy some sizzle, but object to or don't like messing with pig products. This year's event also includes a Bacon WikiCup 2010 for those who may want to keep score and enjoy engaging in friendly competition. Given the critical importance of this subject matter, I know you will want to participate, so remember to sign up today and get started A.S.A.P. ChildofMidnight (talk) 19:38, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
Template Kolhapur-geo-stub
editI really want to categories the pages under this template to Category:Kolhapur district geography stubs. You have put up these templates along with Satara Sangli Pune Solapur under Pune Division geography stubs. Please help to putup the pages under these templates under the respective district geography stubs category rather than the division geography stubs. Please help! Shivap (talk) 12:48, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- Stubs are already classified division-wise. Is there the need to further classify district-wise? If you want to do that, you will have to remove the existing templates and re-classify all the stubs district-wise. That will involve creating stub templates and categories for all districts. I feel division-wise categorizations will suffice. As it is, the number of stub pages per division is not that high. Paalappoo (talk) 13:03, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
{{Latur-geo-stub}}
editGreetings! A stub template or category which you created has been nominated for renaming or deletion at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type most likely doesn't meet Wikipedia requirements for a stub type, through failure to meet standards relating to the name, scope, current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals! - {{Latur-geo-stub}} is ok, I feel. It is Category:Latur Division geography stubs that I have a problem with, as Latur division does not exist. Paalappoo (talk) 04:31, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- I though that was the case from your edits dealing with the template. It looks to me like there is one editor who is trying to push the idea of a Latur division for some reason, and he made the category. Grutness...wha? 05:13, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- I reverted the edits which categorized the template as Category:Latur Division geography stubs. Yes, there is one editor who is pushing Latur division. Latur division page was created twice, I suppose, and subsequently deleted. The divisions can be verified in Divisions of Maharashtra. Paalappoo (talk) 14:11, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

MP geo articles
editThe next time you go through geography articles for tagging, can you check recent ones added to Madhya Pradesh. There are a few users from Khurai who go on creating nonsensical articles categorized into lots of MP categories. I've marked a few for deletion, but if you find some, please tag them for deletion or let me know and I'll take care of them. cheers. -SpacemanSpiff 05:22, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

WikiProject India Tag & Assess 2012 Contest
editHello friends, we are a number of editors from WikiProject India have got together to assess the many thousands of articles under the stewardship of the project, and we'd love to have you, a fellow member, join us. These articles require assessment, that is, the addition of a WikiProject template to the talk page of an article, assessing it for quality and importance and adding a few extra parameters to it.
As of March 11, 2012, 07:00 UTC, WikiProject India has 95,998 articles under its stewardship. Of these 13,980 articles are completely unassessed (both for class and importance) and another 42,415 articles are unassessed for importance only. Accordingly, a Tag & Assess 2012 drive-cum-contest has begun from March 01, 2012 to last till May 31, 2012.
If you are new to assessment, you can learn the minimum about how to evaluate from Part One of the Assessment Guide. Part Two of the Guide will help you learn to employ the full functionality of the talk page template, should you choose to do so.
You can sign up on the Tag & Assess page. There are a number of awards to be given in recognition of your efforts. Come & join us to take part in this exciting new venture. You'll learn more about India in this way.

I think this article should be deleted as it is seemingly not much significant or popular to have it's own wikipedia page, no way to verify claims and include a lot of original research. majorly rely on just this [6] and [7] as primary source.
