Synergistic epistasis

edit

Hi - at Talk:Evolution of sex you say the red line is synergistic epistasis, but at Talk:Epistasis you say it's the blue line; I would like to know which is your actual belief? :) Evercat (talk) 23:02, 30 November 2011 (UTC) Thanks for pointing this out. My comment in "Evolution of Sex" talk was correct: the red line (increasing slope, convex) is the synergistic epistasis case: each additional mutation produces a larger effect on fitness. I believe the figure legend has now been corrected to reflect this (not by me). I'm not sure why I wrote in the talk section of "Epistasis" that the blue line was the synergistic case, and I have now completely removed my comment. So I think everything is fine now.Paulhummerman (talk) 02:11, 8 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I believe the Y-axis should be log(fitness) rather than fitness though? Evercat (talk) 20:35, 8 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Could use an expert, if you can spare some time

edit

"I admire those who actually get things rolling, even if they are not really "experts"

I hope you still have that great attitude! I'm not an expert. Saw your comments on Talk:Connectome. Been working on a broad "list of" type page for brain mapping in general, and to help answer questions on the general topic and questions about the four huge giant brain mapping projects currently underway. I also have a starter list of questions where I think you would be so much better informed (starting with a much higher base) than I. User:Rjlabs/Brain mapping frequently asked questions. Any comments most welcome! Now I'm headed back to your Talk:Connectome comment to try to digest ... :)

A-B separation

edit

The diagram shows a separation of 4 arc-seconds, but the text says 6 (in 2017). Which is currently correct?Paulhummerman (talk) 02:21, 9 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Labeled map needed.

edit

The article describes a number of features both inside and around the Sea, but the images are all unlabeled. Since the actual view from a telescope can vary greatly in orientation, it would be helpful to provide a labeled map of this part of the Moon. It would also be helpful to explain why there are no visible craters in the sea despite 4 billion years of bombardment.````
