edit

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:17, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

How to do more esoteric brackets

edit

Hello! I notice you're the maintainer of Module:Build bracket, so I've got two questions regarding a couple of brackets I've been trying to work on, and whether it would be possible to add it as functionality?

  1. At Continental Classic (2023), one match in the semi-finals had three wrestlers, whilst the other had two. At Wrestle Dynasty, three promotions are running one four-woman match to determine their entrant, but AEW is running a four-woman bracket. Is it possible to add some sort of {{{1}}}} field, or how could I otherwise represent that in the article?
  2. At Continental Classic (2023), {{4TeamBracket}} is being used because it allows for row shading; could that be added too?

Thanks, Sceptre (talk) 13:37, 27 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hey, just an update; it appears that we've found a way to do the first one without any degenerate performance, but the second one would still be a nice addition. :) Sceptre (talk) 18:03, 27 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

reverted edit

edit

Hello Pbrks, i noticed you reverted the edit i made on Saebyeolbe's wikipedia page, and your reason was "unsourced changes", can i get your reasoning for the revert? it has been confirmed that his birth date is 23 December 1995 (as seen in his twitter page and in a command from his twitch nightbot) and is used on other wikis that are dedicated to esports, besides, i dont think birth dates need sources for modern people, most pages dont even have a source for them, so i ask you to revert the changes, thank you for your time! Cock0207 (talk) 06:21, 11 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Cock0207: I reverted your edit because you did not provide a source. References are necessary for any addition or change to content on any article -- especially for people who are alive (see Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons). We need a source for any personal information on a living person, including birth dates (see WP:DOB). I found a Korean article that lists his birthday, so I added a reference for it. Lots of people edit Wikipedia, and its not surprising to find unreferenced information. If you see articles that do not have a source the personal information of a living person, it should either be removed or a reliable source should be found. If you have any other questions, let me know. Welcome to Wikipedia, and happy editing! – Pbrks (t·c) 14:53, 11 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
i see, i didn't put any sources for the birth date because of the 4th point in WP:BLPSELFPUB, as there was no doubt about the date being wrong. in any case, thank you for your help and have a good day! Cock0207 (talk) 07:19, 12 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Cock0207: Self-published sources would be fine, but you added the date of birth without any source at all. – Pbrks (t·c) 17:39, 12 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello Pbrks!

Was curious if you would add Super’s world’s greatest gamer standings on his Wikipedia page? 2601:18E:C702:F0:D5:136D:4A1A:F955 (talk) 06:52, 15 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
