Are you sure they aren’t closed? Pretty sure I read that Zelensky shut them down in November. Thank you for your edits though, as I was struggling with the Infobox in particular. I was on this trying to fix a red link. Elinruby (talk) 03:02, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Elinruby: They are closed — I just updated all the material around the page and some copyediting material, added categories, etc. If you have questions about Infobox television channel, I'm the architect of it in its current form, so I'm happy to help. If you end up translating more Ukrainian TV pages, let me know. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 03:08, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
If you are happy to help, the section on media ownership at Russian information war against Ukraine has three other redlinks. The mess that follows is me trying to find a way to politely say that another media mogul reportedly has a mafia background and seems to be funding the war in Donbas. Help help help ;) Elinruby (talk) 03:14, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
- I don't know enough Ukrainian to port the pages over, @Elinruby! If this were Spanish, I'd be in better territory. Was just using Google Translate to extract obvious things to move (in particular one citation URL). Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 03:15, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
- Ok . How about just the Infoboxes? Elinruby (talk) 03:17, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
- Definitely, I can help with that once you get pages going. Ping me and I'll be there. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 03:18, 16 March 2022 (UTC)

in any event, thanks for what you did there and anything else you do. We don’t seem to have any Ukrainian speakers available. It isn’t one of my languages either — I am only authoritative in French Elinruby (talk) 03:20, 16 March 2022 (UTC)

Musitafa Kalyowa (talk) 08:30, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Musitafa Kalyowa,
- Before I get into that, I want to steer you to our conflict of interest guidelines, since you are affiliated with Baba TV. You should read those to know what not to do. Wikipedia is not an exercise in promotion, and articles need to be written in a neutral, objective tone.
- To be accepted, the topic of a draft article must meet what we call the general notability guideline:
A topic is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list when it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject.
- There are some pieces that are more promotional among the references, but they're mostly used to establish distribution facts. The launch got enough coverage, and there was the 2020 arrest of Mivule as well. This seems, to an outside observer, to be a media outlet of some importance to central and eastern Uganda—and I'm always happy to help reduce systemic bias around Wikipedia. If there are non-promotional, substantive articles about Baba TV in Lusoga or Luganda, I can't read those languages nor do I know what to search for, but that would help a lot. I'm hoping you can point me in the right direction, and I'm likely to accept the article if I can get a bit more sourcing. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 16:20, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
Just wanted to let you know that I closed the CFD in favor of the split, albeit with the amended wording in the discussion. There isn't really a task here that requires an admin to do it (you technically didn't even have to open a CFD for this either, as was already mentioned), so you can feel free to go ahead with the split. bibliomaniac15 03:32, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
- It's a pretty big task, but I did at least lay down some of the infrastructure already. Thanks for the heads up, Bibliomaniac15. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 03:34, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
- I'm also doing the Senate. Note that proportional representation senators are not listed with a state, so they can't be diffused. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 04:47, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

Empty categories
Hello, Sammi,
I see a lot of newly created categories like Category:Members of the Chamber of Deputies (Mexico) for Guerrero and Category:Members of the Chamber of Deputies (Mexico) for Hidalgo (state) that are currently empty. I don't want to fill up your talk page with CSD C1 notices right now but if the categories are still empty and appear on the nightly Empty Categories List, you will get some reminders about them this evening.
If you have some time today, you might assign some appropriate articles to them to prevent receiving these notifications for being empty categories. Thank you for your work! Liz Read! Talk! 16:27, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks — this is a big project (32-way and 12-way double diffusing of two different categories) that will take quite a bit of time, but I will at least add someone from every state into a relevant cat to avoid C1 issues. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 17:37, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

FOROtv to Foro
Just found out that a week ago, FOROtv rebranded to simply Foro as part of the TU restructuring; there was some updating, but not a move and changes outside the IB and lede. I've moved it over to Foro (TV channel), so I just need a check to make sure the new naming was proper and just to add more sourcing about the branding change. 😄 Nate • (chatter) 20:36, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Mrschimpf, the logos read Foro, but I'm also seeing "FOROtv" still in written use in items like [2]. They seem to be a bit of a mess, as I also see it written "Foro TV" (their Twitter has it with an underscore). They are all over the place. I'd have chosen Foro TV. DYK advice
Hi. Hate to bother you, but here's a question. I haven't really done many DYK's over the years, but am trying to put some out there now. In my QPQ, I'm finding, imho, quite a few which are not that interesting. For example, Template:Did you know nominations/Richard Peck (RAF officer), the hook is: "...that Air Vice-Marshal Richard Peck ensured the Royal Air Force ordered 50 de Havilland Mosquitos in 1940?". Wasn't that kind of like his job? It'd be one thing if the hook explained how Peck collaborated with the Nazis or something. But simply doing their job? Should hooks like these be simply tagged with , since the hook really isn't interesting? I'm loathe to do that, since perhaps it is simply me that doesn't think its interesting. I'm reaching out to you since you have some experience in this area. Any help/guidance would be appreciated. Onel5969 TT me 01:27, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Onel5969, I'll admit that on occasion I hold pages from DYK because there's just no possible hook. Richard Peck is a short article, and that's the most interesting thing on the page. It sounds like the Mosquito was a bit underestimated as a design prior to being ordered? I'd ask the nominator to provide more context from the paywalled article that is being used as a hook fact source. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 01:51, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the comprehensive answer. Being relatively new to DYK, I have lots of questions. Onel5969 TT me 11:04, 8 June 2022 (UTC)

Thank you for all these radio stations, and reviewing, including the Ukrainian peace music is "on" today, with the conductor! - Pentecost (on last Sunday and Monday in Germany) brought a rich harvest of great music in two church services (one with me singing in choir) and two concerts with my brother in the orchestra, - four pictures I took besides the symphonic one. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:04, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
DYK for WLOK
On 9 June 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article WLOK, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. Code help requested
One of these might help you:
{{#ifeq: {{Str endswith|CALL SIGN-D|-D}} | yes | yes | no }}
: yes.{{#invoke:String2|matchAny|-D$|-LD$|-LP$|source=CALL SIGN-D|plain=false}}
: 1 ($ sign means it ends with those characters). Gonnym (talk) 20:18, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks. These are {{Infobox radio station}} and {{Infobox television station}} and the call sign may be in the
|name=
or|callsign=
field. (Radio station needs to catch just -LP, TV needs to catch all 3) Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 20:20, 9 June 2022 (UTC){{#if: {{#invoke:String2|matchAny|-D$|-LD$|-LP$|source={{{callsign|}}}|plain=false}} | ends with | {{#if: {{#invoke:String2|matchAny|-D$|-LD$|-LP$|source={{{name|}}}|plain=false}} | ends with | does not ends with }} }}
- Try this. --Gonnym (talk) 20:32, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
- Tested and deployed. It works like a charm. This is great to have. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 00:09, 10 June 2022 (UTC)

- @Dr. Blofeld: This was a random article find and a lucky one — the article needed cleanup, we have so much Miami newspaper it's crazy, and the history was compelling! Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 20:03, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
