Thanks
editI forgot to say thanks for participating in my RfA, and I'm taking all the opinions into consideration, so that I can be more successful next-time. Also, I'm hoping to attempt my second RfA in about June to July time. Hopefully I will have gained the qualities necessary by then. Thanks again. --EclipseSSD (talk) 21:19, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
Re: Flight Officer insignia
editI vectorized almost all of the insignia you requested in the Graphic Lab/Images to improve section (No patience to deal with the one that has letters. I don't suppose you know what typeface that is? ;] ). Let me know if they work. =) MissMJ (talk) 02:19, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

editHey there. I appreciate your support in my RfA - my last comment there was merely to keep things from blowing up. Sometimes those arguments get big and attract even more attention, and the whole thing sort of snowballs. Nothing personal to you! Tan | 39 20:46, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Re: Question
editI'm still a member, but I'm displaced from my home squadron by 100 miles. We have an L-Per (last time I checked), but access wouldn't be soon. What's up? — Huntster (t • @ • c) 22:58, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well, see if you can find something else, but if not, remind me in a while and I'll try to get some pictures next time I go home. — Huntster (t • @ • c) 23:06, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- Checked with my father who is also a member, and we definitely still have the L-Per, and I'll be heading back home in early July, so hopefully I'll remember the camera and get that shot for you. — Huntster (t • @ • c) 21:41, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- I can try and get a picture or two before then. Not sure what I'll be able to swing, the only L-Per my unit has regular access to is the private property of a member. --OuroborosCobra (talk) 23:53, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- Go ahead OC...I'll still try to get a pic of my own. No such thing as "too many" :) — Huntster (t • @ • c) 23:57, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- I should have my hands on an L-Per tomorrow. Will try to get pictures then. --OuroborosCobra (talk) 23:58, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Scetoaux, it is with deep awareness of the responsibility conferred by your trust that I am honored to report that in part to your support, my request for adminship passed (87/14/6). - I know you deleted the comments you posted on my page. I appreciate you expressing your concern. First off, I reverted 3 times. WP:3RR states, "An editor must not perform more than three reverts..." That does not make edit warring OK. I will apologize that my actions gave the apperance of improper action. I have no strong opinions and really dont care about the fuddruckers articles. I do believe that articles on companies are not supposed to be a list of every negative bit of information against them (which is what I felt the intent of Darsen chen was when adding the information to the article). I was not the only editor who shared this opinion as jaysweet and gogododo reverted the additions as well with edit summaries stating, "...Need to establish notability of this case..." and "Lawsuit not established as notable." His repeated insertion of the information disregarding the concerns of editors was disruptive in my opinion and deserved a warning. I will apologize if this caused any inconvenience on your part, and do recognzie you redacted your concerns (I however wanted to take the time to address them). Hope this helps. Your RfA
editMost unfortunate these turn of events, but it's certainly not uncommon at RfA. I can understand why you would withdraw. Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Wisdom89 3. You'll have my support next time as well, Scetoaux. My advice to you would be to wait at least 6 months before reapplying for adminship. If you are still willing, I would probably nominate you. Wisdom89 (T / C) 05:36, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
- Good for you dude - that's a great attitude. The fact that you are probably disappointed, yet encouraged to keep it open for constructive criticism speaks volumes. Wisdom89 (T / C) 06:24, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
I have a question. Was your comment to Balloonman meant to be a sarcastic jibe, or was it just a coincidence? I'm honestly curious. Wisdom89 (T / C) 16:12, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
- Oh ok, I wasn't even aware that was the incident that caused you to want to withdraw initially. I'd mollify it abit with a shout out to Balloonman (if you haven't already), but as long as you know it was just out of frustration. I've done the same thing before, at my previous RfAs, and others as well. Wisdom89 (T / C) 20:03, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

Re: Date autoformatting
editSorry for that reversion on the CAP article. I was not aware that any such consensus had been reached. To be blunt, I heartily, and unabashedly, hate this idea, and loath the ones who have bowled over any opposition to it. I for one will not be "obeying" this doctrine. Autoformatting is a good thing; I can't wait to see the havoc that is wrought when people start randomly formatting dates in articles...it has happened before, and it will happen again. Sorry if this comes across as overly harsh...it isn't aimed at you, just a bit of an apology/vent. — Huntster (t • @ • c) 01:43, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:I-robot.gif)
editThanks for uploading Image:I-robot.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:04, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Maryland Wing Civil Air Patrol
editA proposed deletion template has been added to the article Maryland Wing Civil Air Patrol, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Doesn't assert notability, no reason to suggest it's more notable than the 44 state wings that don't have them.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. 71.236.251.6 (talk) 06:35, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Just saying hi
editHey Robert, this is probably the most unorthodox entry ever. Anyways, I was going through some *old* bookmarks and found the Maryland CAP entry, needless to say I was perplexed. Fast forward to now, I was thinking about that network we both frequented, and it clicked. Re: Hey
editThat's great! Two folks in one day, makes me happy. Sure, anything you need, let me know. Not a whole lot has changed, to be honest, though most of the CAP pages will soon be affected, as it was determined at Commons that CAP does not qualify as a gov't organisation (and when you really consider it, they're right), and thus its images are not public domain...so soon most of the pics will be gone that I can't find another license for (I can save the old stuff from USAAF times). — Huntster (t @ c) 07:07, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
