Can you please move Prudhoe Bay oil field to Prudhoe Bay Oil Field? It's a waste to explain why since you'll look into it anyway. --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 21:33, 29 August 2008 (UTC)--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 21:33, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Thai museums

Hello there in NYC! How are you? I really need your help in expanding the Thai museum sub stubs in Category:Museums in Bangkok. This has pages on the most notable ones. Please help! The Bald One White cat 11:32, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

I've expanded nearly 10 already at least with some info. Since we talked about the Thai airforce museum there seems to be more info online about some of the others, testament to how quick the web is growing and how much info should be out there!! Some of them are probably not notable enough, so I'll speedy the ones I think are not of major signifcance or can't be expanded per se. Most of them should be OK though The Bald One White cat 12:00, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes I'm very sure that most things are notable, we should keep most of them. The Gossip Gallery though, only looks like a cafe which displays artwork from other notable galleries such as the H Gallery. The Bald One White cat 12:08, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Another useful link is here The Bald One White cat 12:13, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

There are quite a lot of google hits for many of them Rare Stone Museum. I;m sure I googled some of them before and little turned up The Bald One White cat 13:03, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Wow very nicely referenced! I hope you like my new Bangkok museums template. We ought to have one for most places like that. Such templates of course depend on the size of the text in your browser. Mines currently set at default size which is reall quite small so it looks more compact. Larger font sizes howver are likely to make templates look very high The Bald One White cat 16:49, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

LOL the Bangkok Doll Museum. A shame we can't pinch their images isn't it!! Someday I'll go on a greek museum binge like I;ve done today and fill out some of those stubs. Somebody remarked that the Thai museums were "almost all instantly deletable or non notable" which motivated me to prove otherwise. Besides that they look culturally fascinating The Bald One White cat 16:55, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

LOL for New York state and city which is practically the museum capital of the world you'd need a template for the museums on each avenue!! Its a shame there isn't much info for museums throughout Thailand except in the major cities, and in countries like Burma, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam as the cultural heritage is amazing. Wihtout a doubt one of the emptiest countries on here is Burma which is a huge country although nothing in comparison to China and the laughable lack of coverage we have on it. Burma, China and North Korea are probably the most repressive in the world, and political limitiations reflect seriously in the lack of coverage and freedom of knowledge. Ok. I feel better. If I had email, that subject header woulda been the subject line there. My talkpage went nucking futs today, all regarding Sarah Palin and the POV pushers (on both sides). I was clearing out CSDs (I do everyday) and I deleted an article that was a WP:COATRACK article of some pastor of some church in NoWheresVille Alaska that Palin, at one point or another, attended. Good lord. I stepped on a hornet's nest. Ack. I'm going offline very very soon, and I will be offline until at least Friday, maybe Saturday. I seriously want my talkpage to be about baseball. Go Twins! Boo Yankees. See you this weekend, and thanks for letting me vent. (like you have a choice, I hit save and you have to read this, heheh). Keeper will be fine, needs a day off is all. User:Sinolinkconsulting

User:Sinolinkconsulting was blocked for a promotional username, and is now proposing to change it to Scarlett77. As they are having trouble using the unblock template I have posted the request for them here as a procedural matter.

I am raising this here as you were the original blocker of the name. In my armchair opinion the proposed new username addresses the "promotional" issue but the editor still seems to miss the obvious COI and ad-spam problem in attempting to create an article about their own company. If they get unblocked and recreate the article I'll give it a once-over in a day or so to see if it is notable and if not send it to AfD tos ettle it once and for all. Euryalus (talk) 06:40, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

I agree, I actually posted to the user page before I saw the orange bar. I left it for another admin to decide, but I'm not inclined to unblock. I don't think an AfD is needed as it's all been G11 able. Moot point whether or not he has released the text, it's still SPAM and he doesn't get/doesn't want to get that. I'm also having issues seeing as he knew how to unblock himself via template. I'm not sure this is a new user, but that's just my gut, no facts. TravellingCari 12:11, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
No worries. Just thought I'd help them with the template as they appeared to be in some confusion. Hersfold has declined the unblock as there is no indication they understand the COI or spam problems. Euryalus (talk) 21:52, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
A quick look around shows no secondary sources for Sino-link consulting, so even if they do get unblocked and do show an understanding of the COI and spam issues, the article is probably not notable. I think we're getting close to the "snowflake in hell" chance for an article on this topic from this contributor. But stranger things have happened. Euryalus (talk) 23:00, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Relisting

When you relist an AFD, as you did with Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sons of Sam Horn, you need to remove the AFD from the old date, as well as add it to the new one. You added the AFD to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2008 September 9, but neglected to remove or comment it out from Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2008 September 4.

If you are using a script to do this, I suggest you stop, as your script is broken. Neıl 11:08, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi Neil, please see the post two above and the discussion on Jerry's talk. I stopped using the script until I talked to the creator. After he suggested what the problem may have been, I had no problems. The AfD you cite was one of the two that had a problem. Thanks for the heads up though, I think the issue is fixed. TravellingCari 12:13, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Fixed? Marvellous. In that case, forget what I said :) Neıl 21:17, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

ghostgirl page restored, please.

Hello. I have just discovered that my page ghostgirl has been deleted. The reason sited was copyright violation, but I did not violate any copyrights, however, I most likely tagged them wrong. I am new at this and it is extremely complicated, but I didn't violate anything rights. I am the author of the book ghostgirl, the creator. I hold the rights to both images used since I am the author. I gave the publisher rights to use the images for the book and the poster, so I really don't understand. They are both fair use anyway, as they are used on every book site and posted in every book store without permission. Can you please let me know what I can do to persuade you? I am desperate to get the page back up since I made the New York Times best-seller list next week with the book and would love to have this page up as a source.

With gratitude, Tonya Hurley

"speedy deletion woes"

My article on swedish band 'pay tv' was nominated for deletion because it didn't explain their 'notability'. The article had several references linking to the Swedish charts archive showing the chart placing of their singles.

As a band that charted on the swedish national charts, surely this is notable? They also participated in the swedish Melodifestivalen contest - a massive swedish tv event that is usually the most watched event of the year and garners considerable press attention - which, again, was cited as references.

Surely they are just as notable - if not more so - than certain other bands on here who's articles haven't been deleted?

thanks for reading this,

d0od88 D0od88 (talk) 11:26, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

1) it was a copyvio again so all text had to go regardless of what it might have said. 2)I'm looking at the text and it said so such thing re: charting You need to re-create the article in your own space, for example at User:D0od88/Pay TV and demonstrate notabilityl. Due to repeated re-creation by yourself and other fans, the main article has been protected against re-creation. I'd be happy to help you create a draft in your userspace but you need to establish notability and not have the text be a copyvio. OK? TravellingCari 12:15, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

It can't have been a 'copyvio' given i sat there and type the whole thing out myself! It was my first wiki creation page, and it took me ages >.< D0od88 (talk) 14:42, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

It wasn't your first, it was the second time you created the same article, both copyvios. Please work on a version in your own user space and then notability can be judged. Thanks! TravellingCari 21:13, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

Contested AfD closure - srsly

Just kidding. I removed the tag from the article. Just a friendly reminder from Synergy 02:23, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Thuggin & Buggin Enterprises

it is most DEFINITELY important, and idk what you meant by "does not indicate significance of a real person" as it was a stable. the article needed body work obviously, im just very busy. KP317 01:08, 16 September 2008 (UTC)~

A7 applies to people, groups or companies. I suggest working on the article in your own userspace, for example at User:Kperfekt722/Thuggin & Buggin Enterprises as there was no evidence of notability. That way you can work on it as your time allows and it will be a proper article by the time it's moved to mainspace. TravellingCari 01:10, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi Rob T. Almost all of the text appears to have been lifted from here, including that in the version where you did some work in June 2008. Orphaned non-free media (Image:No close relist script.JPG)

Thanks for uploading Image:No close relist script.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:22, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Michael Sandefer

I am writing you to appeal the locking of 'Michael Sandefer' as a wikipedia thread. This is my name and my page I have created and I understand the Wikipedia NPOV policy and I wrote the page with a NPOV. I am a notable person who qualifies for a Wikipedia article. I have an IMDB page that shows my work as an American actor and composer, I have been on the same radio station as famous policitians, celebrities, wrestlers and others and have a few articles coming out about me I will be happy to cite for you including things I have written I can site as I am a journalist for a music publication in my town owned and operated by the local newspaper and many other verifiable and notable things I have done. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Apexigod (talkcontribs) 01:32, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

I'm not sure why you're contacting me since I was not the one who deleted your article. It was deleted by consensus here and I deleted the one you re-created without capitalis. That is not proper and both have been blocked from recreation. The proper venue for discussion is deletion review if you've already spoken to the deleting administrator. TravellingCari 01:37, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Well look man...I don't understand this Wikipedia deal. I don't know who did it...but they keep doing it. I'm quite possibly fixing to sign a major record deal, I'm composing a score of and acting in a movie with people who are in movies with Jessica Biel, Martin Lawrence and other famous people. I'm on my way up dude and I'm notable. Seriously. But these elitist Wikipedia editors keep giving me a hard time about this Wikipedia article because I dunno man, they don't have my poster up on their wall or my cd in their cd case? What's the deal? Point me in the right direction so instead of harassing you, I can harass them. Mike-C (talk) 01:58, 18 September 2008 (UTC)apexigod

You're not going to harass anyone. As I said, take it to deletion review but I doubt you'll be succesful. You may be notable one day but I don't see any reliable source evidence that you are notable. Being in a movie with people who were in movies with other people doesn't make you notable, nor does about to sign a deal or composing. YOu need to already be notable to have an encyclopedia article. No one here is elitist. If you disagree, take it to deletion review. TravellingCari 02:10, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

relist closes

When an article is relisted for lack of arguments, I think it should run more than one additional day. Typically, it didn't get attention the first time, but if it still does not, I and others try to take a look and help. There are many things out-of-field (at afd and elsewhere, like CSD or expired prods) that I ignore the first pass, because I hope others will deal with it, but if nobody else does, then I'll take a try. But I and others don't do it instantly, any more than we all do the first day of a regular afd. . The first two people to do it shouldn't determine the result. If it waited 5 days, it can wait ten. DGG (talk) 16:30, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Happy to re-open, is there a particular one that you want me to re-open? Alternatively, don't mind if you overturn me. I'm going to try and find the other discussion/pseudo-consensus that said if it gets attention following the re-list, act on it. I'm trying to think of what one was close. I think I'm usually guilty of re-listing when it might have been close-able. Let me know what you'd like me to do. Thanks for the heads up. TravellingCari 16:46, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Some help from a former editor

Hello! Regarding your well-placed block on User:DrawnTogethermovie2010, the account's naming characteristics and contributions are those of a banned user known as both User:Lyle123 and User:StealBoy. There is a section on this bizarre character on the long term abuse page. Any account name which runs together in a "CamelCase" fashion denoting some sort of motion picture and purported year of release is almost certainly him. His nonsense article currently clogging the AfD is typical of this vandal. You may want to delete his, um, "contribution" under WP:SNOW. His "Drawn Together" movie article is pure bovine excrement. Returning to lurk in the shadows once more. Have fun and don't let the vandals get you down. A friend via --70.104.7.231 (talk) 07:28, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up. I saw your sock tag on the page as well. I'm not too familiar with either of the users you identified, but I'll go read uip on the long term abuse reports. I took it at face value -- a production company or something similiar, but now I seem to remember something related Nickelodeon wise. Thanks again for the note, it appears someone has already zapped the AfD. TravellingCari 13:58, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Glad to have been of service and I'm glad I had a moment to pop by to see what was up. The only contact this person has made with other editors is via the original "Lyle123" account. He seemed to think it would be "cool" to write about anything he wanted, got upset with the admin who deleted his nonsense and tried playing a "sympathy card," claiming sadness over the death of his grandmother. Another character to watch out for has been dubbed "MascotGuy." He's an autistic teenager operating via a dynamic IP. His _targets are all advertising mascots, cartoon characters and such, hence the nickname. He has his own page at WP:LTA/MG. He isn't malicious like that organized "Grawp" idiocy, but he creates a lot of cleanup work. Good luck and have a great weekend. --70.104.7.231 (talk) 23:45, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

SoberCircle article

Hello, you deleted an article i posted about SoberCircle. I spent about a week doing research about the website, the people behind it and its history. I only wanted to bring awareness to a website that is helping people. The website is like daily strength or patientslikeme (both of which have articles less detailed than my own submission), but it is strictly for alcoholics and addicts. I am a recovering addict who posts to wikipedia for sports related articles under a different name. In my 12 step program, we have a tradition to be of service to the recovery community. My article about sobercircle was an attempt to be of service. I would really like a reconsideration of this. It is very important to me. This website saves peoples lives and I think the people who found the article to be irrelevent obviously don't understand the brevity of addiction. Your response will be appreciated. Gfp1968 (talk) 17:20, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

It sounds like a nice organization, but Wikipedia does not exist for the purpose of a PSA for nice organizations. Organizations require notability as set out in part by WP:ORG, as you no doubt know if you've been on Wiki for some time under another name. Wanting to be of service to an organization that helps you is wonderful, but that doesn't mean they're deserving of a Wikipedia article if they're not notable. We're not simply a directory of all organizations that exist. I decline to oveturnn the consensus at AfD but have no issue with you taking it to deletion review if you believe there was some problem with the way I closed the discussion. Tramcars of the National Tramway Museum

Would you be able to have a look at this discussion and offer any thoughts you may have? The article looks like it needs cleaning up, but I don't really know the current guidelines/consensus for "museum exhibit" articles. Thanks! – iridescent 19:00, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Fábio Pereira da Silva

Hi, would you consider de-salting Fábio Pereira da Silva as he is now a professional footballer (see ref). Thanks, MSGJ 14:36, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi! According to that link, he hasn't yet made his debut which means he still isn't notable per WP:ATHLETE. Note also he was deleted via AfD. Because of that I'd suggest a draft in your userspace (I'm happy to provide the text) and then take it to DRV. Thoughts? TravellingCari 19:21, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Hey there, it's not me who's writing the article. It's a submission at AfC, see Articles for creation/Submissions/Fábio Pereira da Silva. I didn't read the exact requirements of ATHLETE actually, I was assuming it was enough to be on the team. Best regards, MSGJ 21:03, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Gotcha. I don't know where to leave a comment there as it's not an area where I normally work. I'll procedurally bring it to WP:DRV as what the article asserts is different to what the link you provided above says. It's listed at DRV here. Hopefully an outcome will come out of there. Can you notify those involved in AfC? TravellingCari 21:16, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Fire Museum

and the similar Postal Museum; Can they be rescued, or shall we let them go (currently prodded) DGG (talk) 16:06, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not sure about postal museum. Fire museum can be fixed, I think. I just left a note on the talk and I'll work on it. TravellingCari 19:26, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Avenue East Cobb

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Avenue East Cobb, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. New museum entry, a crossed Maltese, EliteAnswers.com

Cari, I have a new entry up for the Judaica Museum of the Hebrew Home for the Aged at Riverdale -- are you familiar with that Bronx-based venue? The entry is a stub -- I need to get more info, but at least I got something in place. Also, I saw the problem with the attempts to vandalise Malta Enterprise, which I recreated after its original version was deleted. Can you put a page protection lock on that to keep the vandal(s) away? Also, would you mind if I sandblasted the EliteAnswers.com article? I think it can be salvaged, albeit as a stub -- there is just an excess of flab that needs tightening. Thanks! Ecoleetage (talk) 03:45, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi Ecoleetage.
If I may chime in, I don't think anyone minds if you clean up EliteAnswers.com, to the contrary! But as I said at the AfD I have serious doubts that it has the significant coverage needed to pass WP:N.
Cheers, AmaltheaTalk 03:57, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi Eco, dittoing Amalthea above. Feel free to give it a go. I never mind being proven wrong but there doesn't appear to be anything from which to build a non PR puff piece. Good article re: the Jewish home. Just came across something about it in my office. Will upate the article if I can. Malta Enterprise is a sock farm with the exception of your work. I'm hoping someone closes out the SSP report and that someone isn't me  :) TravellingCari 14:05, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi Cari. I will try to get to EliteAnswers.com later today -- the day is shaping up to be hectic (real life can be so annoyingly intrusive). I also reported User:Cataniaa as a vandal to Malta Enterprise and he has been indefinitely blocked -- hopefully that will keep the article safe for now. And, yes, that Jewish museum in the senior complex is very unusual (what a place to stick a museum!). I added it to the list of NYC cultural centers. Be well. Ecoleetage (talk) 14:24, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, real life needs to be smacked at times. Thanks for reporting Cataniaa, the SSP is here. It amazed me how rude people can be at times. I had fun working on the Center for Jewish History, which I still need to expand. Time, what a rare commodity. Stay dry! TravellingCari 14:57, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Oh, I like the rain. But, then again, I'm the type who never knows when to come in from it. I am going to try to rewrite EliteAnswers.com at a later date, provided it is not salted. The AfD is clearly a lost cause and I currently lack the time and energy to save it from deletion. Be well. Ecoleetage (talk) 15:45, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
If it is salted, write it in your sandbox. I trust you'll do a clean job with it and then it can be unsalted (under one capitalization) and I'll re-salt the other as a re-direct. Somehow I think we'll be playing whack-a-mole with this one for some time to come. I give the creator an A for persistence. I like playing in the rain. I don't like commuting in it and coming to work a drowned rat. TravellingCari 16:04, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Virgin America

Hi. Thanks for the revert warning. The issue at Virgin America is nearly resolved I think if you view the talk page. But it also ties into a much bigger debate at Los Angeles International Airport where there are three administrators already overseeing the dispute and the article is protected so if that has to happen here as well to reach resolve then that is just what we'll have to do. In fact I had asked as much before my edit was just undone a few minutes ago which ironically brought me the warning even though I wasn't the last revert so I hope you're on top of them just as much as you're on top me. 68.52.36.127 (talk) 04:10, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Go ahead and protect the article. I just did my 2nd revert for this 24 hour period and if it isn't still the way I left it or the issue resolved in 48 hours I'll do it again because I think what I'm removing from the article is inaccurate and shouldn't be there. 68.52.36.127 (talk) 04:18, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

I'm not going to protect it against a low-speed edit war. This has been going on for months as source v. source v. who doesn't like which source vs. official vs. official-er source. Get my drift? You all mean well, but this is a little nuts. Everyone has been warned to stop edit warring/revert warring. Not really a war, this is a backyard lob a snowball and duck fight. Feel free to request it at WP:RPP if you feel it needs to be locked. I think a discussion without reverting will help, but I agree with what soomeone says: the LAX issue doesn't mean VX needs to be the same. It probably does need a larger discussion at the Aviation project, however. Thanks and have a good night - I'm on EST and it's bedtime here. TravellingCari 04:38, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Alright. Yea...I understand everything you're saying and I hadn't even considered the Aviation project thing. In fact, after seeing the way you described everything it kind of makes me wonder why I've even cared to be quite honest. It has gotten ridiculous and out of hand for such a small part of two articles. Amazing how a un-involved third party can give you such a different perspective on things. I understand the time thing as I'm in CST in the SE unlike some in that particular argument that are actually in Los Angeles so it's late here too. Thanks for the reply. 68.52.36.127 (talk) 05:11, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
No worries. My general rule of thumb to avoid getting worked up is that in the end, whatever the issue is, is generally not woth the aggravation. Yes, we want to have accurate information but when it's sourced on both sides (with basically just the claims differing), it's not as much an issue as say: Party A believes this, which is unsourced and Party B believes that, which is sourced to a reliable source. The aviation project is a good resource and may be able to get some neutral input as this article isn't a heavily edited one as opposed to some where everyone has an opinion or five. Have a good day! cant sleep tonight, i'm too nervous

too bad the messiah can't go on 20 hours rest. --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 04:51, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Such a slacker he is -- take one for the team. He looked like Santana in his prime last night, and sadly sometimes going 9 is the only way to ensure a win. On the radio the other morning after a bullpen loss the sports announcer was funny "Scot Schoenweis and friends..." I hope the Mets win today to take Shea out on a high note, but I'm shocked it's not the game of the week since it is the closing game and has playoff implications. You know I was at the Yankee game last Sunday, right? *That* was phenomenal even though it was meaningless. Assume you've seen this and the less-funny this? PS: long time no see, how's all in Brew world? TravellingCari 15:27, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
I figured you were there. I read in the news about some girl who had to be dragged out of the stadium kicking, crying, screaming.
It should probably be named "Heilman and friends". He best represents their - at this point - hilarious incompetency.
If I had to predict what will happen today, I would say that both the Brewers (I feel very weird with my user name today) and the Mets will lose. After last years playoffs, CC has not proven to be a big time pitcher. And he's on 3 days rest. Oliver Twist, I don't trust either. Last year, he was in a similar spot (I think it was also against the Marlins), a few days before the end of the season, and he got bombed.
Somebody made a good point on the radio this morning. He said it will be typical Mets to have a closing ceremony right after knocking themselves out of the playoffs. True. --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 15:41, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Yeah people who still think your username represents your sports allegiances will be very confused to know you're a Mets fan. I don't trust CC in the clutch, that's why I really hope he goes back to the Mistake on the Lake and the Yankees don't try to get him this off season. I think he's another used to was, although I said the same about someone else when he first came over. I planned to watch the Mets today for the closing of Shea but with Moose going for 20... I just hope you don't get rained out. Did you watch Shea Goodbye on SNY? I was at the taping and it was wonderful. I missed it last night though :( Last weekend, yes I know, I don't have a hat-shaped head. Off to the gym, back for the games :) TravellingCari 15:57, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
I hope he gets 20, it makes for a really nice story. I'll have look through your archives, though, and find some thread of you cursing him out:- ) --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 16:45, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Might have, early in the season when I said he needed to be put out to pasture. I hope he gets 20 and goes out on high note, but Daisuke's 18-2 is scary. Both on rain delay now? TravellingCari 17:38, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Mets are delayed, the Brewers start at 2. Per this change in status, the Mets might know their status at the end of their game. --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 17:43, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Very cute shot of Seaver and Mr. Met. Piazza needs to stick a sock in it. Yankees rain delayed again. Can't find Brewers/Cubs on TV here but I'm sure they'll update the scores ad nauseam. TravellingCari 17:58, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

WHY DO I ROOT FOR THESE IDIOTS? THEY ARE THE BIGGEST PACK OF LOSERS IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND. --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 21:09, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

SOrry dude, they fought the good fight. WHy did they yank Ollie so early? I was heating up lunch and missed that. TravellingCari 21:08, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Ack we E/Ced. I feel bad for you/them. How can you celebrate the stadium after an eliminating loss? That's the down-side of a post game celebration. That and the weather. I will say, the Mets gave it a very good run this season. No one expected it to be this close when they let go of Willie. If the Yankee pen blows this, I'm going to scream for Moose's sake. TravellingCari 21:12, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
He gave up three straight hits to start of the sixth. You were prophetic with your "Scot Schoenweis and friends..." statement above. Who else gives up the lead with a homerun? The more technically correct term is "Scot Schoenweis and and his fellow incompetent idiots..." That whole bullpen must be gotten rid of. We have to start over. These losers should be embarrassed to put on a baseball uniform. They should all retire and go somewhere..........--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 21:17, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Got it, kitchen is too far from my TV to have heard it and didn't really like the idea of blasting my roommates ears out. Schoenweis needs to retire. Is Wagner back next year? I can't remember how many years he had left. Will Manuel be back at the helm? I can't tell whether it's better or worse to be less-spectacular of a collapse than last year. Santana has one more year, right? What about Delgado? Yankees have the bases loaded against Papelbon in the 9th. 3-2 was too close for comfort. I want Moose to get 20, gives meaning to a long, drawn out game. Brewers in the playoffs just sounds *odd* TravellingCari 21:33, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Wagner is out for the whole next year. From a statistical standpoint, last year's collapse was worse. But this one is much worse because its the second year in a row these fools fell apart. I've calmed down somewhat. I stopped breaking stuff. --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 21:39, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
*puts you in padded space so you don't break yourself* It is frustrating. Statistically both the Yankees and Mets should have gone to the post season this year. Both teams 16 above .500, Yankees have potential to be 17 or 18 above. In any other division, it wouldn't have been a mess but neither team played to their capability. Eek. Watching Papelbon have a tantrum shows him to be the three year old he is at times. TravellingCari 21:44, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Haha. Papelbon raised his ERA from under 2 to 2.40 or something in a meaningless game. I would also throw a temper tantrum if that happened to me. Maybe that is what the incompetent losers, aka the Mets bullpen, needs - some temper tantrums. They walk out there with their blank faces, give up a couple homers, then go back to their hole with the same blank stare. --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 21:56, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Papelbon was channeling Paulie there. Dude, don't walk. Throw it over the plate. He's a great closer but nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. Mets have no such illusions. Headed offline. Back in a bit. TravellingCari 21:59, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Kissy Simmons

Hi Cari. As I see it, regarding the sources with Kissy Simmons, Broadwayworld.com appears to be reprinted press releases while Playbill is strictly a marketing piece (the cast biography section is provided by the show's producers and is not original writing). At best, Ms. Simmons is an extremely marginal stage personality -- but, hopefully, she will see major stardom soon and this will be a funny blip in her early career. Ecoleetage (talk) 00:23, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

I believe a lot of show biz media is iffy in regard to passing WP:RS -- even major stuff like Variety and Hollywood Reporter is not shy about reprinting press releases verbatim and pretending they're news. But in all honesty, I am glad this article remained -- much the way I am glad when all articles survive AfD, even if there is a no consensus vote. And I appreciate Michael's efforts to improve its sourcing and I am glad for the input from the other editors. So, it is a win-win situation. :) Ecoleetage (talk) 00:58, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
