- Ok, well I thought I would welcome you considering no one else had taken advantage of the honour yet :). But if you have any questions, you know where to find me :) AngelOfSadness talk 18:21, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- You're welcome and if you're wondering I didn't think that you came across at all hostile or unappreciative. AngelOfSadness talk 18:35, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Spam links
editHello StevenEdmondson. Thank you for your note regarding the IP that keeps adding links to their own reviews. Thanks also for your work on removing them. Please be aware that you can also leave warnings on their talk page. You will find them here WP:UTM. If they persist after your warnings you can also report them here WP:SPAM and an admin will take a look at the situation. They can also be reported at WP:AIV because repeatedly entering spamlinks is also a form of vandalism. If you haven't done any of these before just go slow because it is all fairly straightforward but also feel free to ask me for help. Thanks again for your vigilance and happy editing. MarnetteD | Talk 20:55, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- It looks like you did things okay so far. I am not an admin so there isn't much that I can do but I thought that you would like to know that someone else has taken up your cause and made a post here [1] at the admin notice board. You might want to add your thoughts there also. Cheers. MarnetteD | Talk 18:06, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- Hi again. Just in case you haven't already seen this I wanted to give you a link to this [2] note where the ongoing tracking down of Dan's sockpuppets continues. You are one of the editors who got the ball rolling on exposing this editor for what he is and I want to send my thanks again. PS how weird is the post on your talk page below? That editor seems to have a specific obsession. Cheers. MarnetteD | Talk 22:00, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Your recent edits
editHi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 16:15, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I know, sorry. I have usually gone back and put it in later if I realised I forgot.(StevenEdmondson (talk) 18:11, 29 August 2008 (UTC)).
Schneider...
editHello there. I don't know you personally, despite what has been falsely alleged, and I am not your "sock puppet," regardless of this false accusation about you. But I just wanted to post here in recognition of your humanity, because I have seen you outrageously abused. Dan Schneider, hiding like a coward behind an anonymous name, has chosen to defecate all over in you in public and then run into the woods. It is one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen in my life. FYI I added the link to his disgusting comments to the relevant ANI discussion. I just wanted you to know that you are not alone in this. Others are recognizing your humanity and are jumping up to your defense. This sick and irresponsible person who did this to you is not going to get away with it. I am sure that he will be banned forever soon, just as he's been from every real and virtual place he's ever visited in this world, and the personal offense against you will be dealt with by those who have more power than we do. By those who have judgment and fairness. By those who will not sit idly by while innocent human beings are defecated upon by the shameless and the cynical. There are many of us good-hearted people out there. And we are with you. Ovenknob (talk) 23:10, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
- What on earth is wrong with you? You seem to have a vendetta, and you're making Dan's attacks seem more credible. Seriously consider how you are playing will come across. If you are sincere, thanks for your kind words, but I disagree with your rationale and method. StevenEdmondson (talk) 00:20, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Schneider again
editHello StevenEdmondson. I noticed your postings about the return of this editor and his sock puppets. I wanted to say good job on your thoroughness in keeping track of his many guises. In furtherance of that you may want to add the attempt to add his review to the film Freaks here [3]. My removal of it brought his usual round of abuse on the talk page (which I have since archived) so you may want to add the editor User:Mullerjena to your list of sockpuppets. Thanks again and keep up the good work. MarnetteD | Talk 12:44, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
FYI: I'm waiting for Themfromspace to summarize what he found. As I already pointed out, there's plenty of evidence to make a checkuser request if you want to move things along faster. --Ronz (talk) 18:19, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
- WP:RFCHU. It's a bit complicated, and you'll note that editors are in the process of streamlining it. --Ronz (talk) 18:29, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
