- Reason
- I've never nominated an image here before, but the idea has interested me for a while, so I'll see how this goes. I think this is a good picture. It's in clear focus, it shows the whole plant, there is nothing else to distract from it, and as far as I know it's the highest-resolution photograph of this thing that exists anywhere in the world. I am not sure what category it belongs in -- this one has a similar photo of an oil rig, this one has a photo of a hydroelectric plant, and this one has a steel mill and telescope array.
- Articles in which this image appears
- This is the main image that illustrates Gateway Generating Station. It's also in Gas turbine, Antioch, California, Combined cycle power plant, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Gas-fired power plant and Waste heat recovery unit.

- Support – @JPxG this is a very good candidate in my opinion. Keep up the good work. RoanokeVirginia (talk) 12:33, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

- Oppose original until perspective is restituted; left & right parts of the structure tilt inwards. --Janke | Talk 13:20, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
- Took a stab at it, Support rectified version only, despite slight unsharpness at right (was in the original). I also fixed rather strong CA. --Janke | Talk 13:45, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
- This version looks much better, and if it helps to work with the original version prior to my lens corrections, I can link that as well. (What is the protocol for if I think your edit is good? Should I just upload it over my version, or should you upload it over my version, or what?) jp×g 16:28, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
- An even better starting point would be the original camera file, as a separate upload, not over the candidate. --Janke | Talk 17:35, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
- I appreciate you fixing the distortion and the chromatic aberration, by the way. I have gotten some new lenses (and developed my skills significantly) since I took this, so hopefully the next one will be much better in its technical aspects :^) jp×g 09:49, 26 June 2021 (UTC)

- @JPxG, RoanokeVirginia, and TheFreeWorld: An alternate image was added to this nomination. Could you clarify which version(s) you support? Regards, Armbrust The Homunculus 14:08, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
