This is a photo of a badge from the company Ruston & Hornsby. This was originally tagged for speedy deletion as it is a derivative work of the badge. This image was tagged for deletion as not having a license for the source as this photo is a derivative work. Taking this to FFD for more discussion. The subject of the photo is a statue or casting of Hippocampi taken in Dublin. These look like the base fo street lamps and may be out of copyright if we can determine when the design was made. Keep. Personally I'm confused by this nomination. Is the original work (from which the uploader's photo "derives") the 3D representation of the hippocampus, at the base of a 19th century lamp post? On a public street in Dublin? If so, and per COM:FOP Ireland, there is no restriction on photographs of "sculptures [..] and works of artistic craftsmanship, where permanently situated in a public place or in premises open to the public". Even if the lamp stand wasn't cast in the 19th century and was designed/made very recently, FOP would permit photographs to be taken of it. (Note that this 19th century cast iron lamp post, as with many similar such lamp posts in Dublin, are historic protected structures. They were designed well over a century or more ago. In this case the gas lamp is one of several placed alongside the statue of Henry Grattan on College Green which dates from 1876. The lamps being added perhaps a decade or two later.
