editAgenda
editAt the Feb 15 meeting the attendees discussed what could be improved to make the meetups more effective. The decision was more focus on tools and demonstrations of tools.
- Introduction to meet up by organisers
- Round table for participants to say what you’re working on and if you need help with anything - bring along your Wikipedia, Wikidata, or Wikimedia problems
- Video conferencing agreement - this is our second meeting using jitsi. Do we want to try Big Blue Button next time or continue with jitsi? Test BBB link
- Review of questions raised during round table
- Siobhan (Ambrosia10) to discuss with the group an email from Merrilee Proffitt from the Wikimedia and Libraries User Group. They are proposing of a worldwide virtual #1Lib1Ref Wikipedia editing event with New Zealand starting the world off.
- Siobhan (Ambrosia10) has a new resource for those interested in learning more about property proposals for Wikidata. See this link. The Wikipedia Weekly Youtube channel has several instructional videos. Another great example is a video showing a workflow using WikiShootMe tool and the website mapillary.com. Well worth a watch for those interested in maps/images/streets etc.
- Demonstration of another tool - to be confirmed
- Mike will share recent work on Massey University staff, including the upload of Jane Ussher photos to Category:Rangahau
- Get on with problem solving, editing, and chatting
Outcomes
edit- On an ANZAC Day theme, if anyone is writing about nurses who died in WWI I made a list a few years ago and any new biographies could be linked to it (or names added if the list is incomplete): List of nurses who died in World War I MurielMary (talk) 00:01, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
