- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Switzerland|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Switzerland. Dubious notablity. The previous Afd claimed "good sources" which were subsequently refbombed to the article. I reviewed them (and some others) and see nothing but short blurbs in run-off-the-mill reviews of some circus performances and no significant coverage of the person in depth. --Altenmann >talk 23:17, 9 January 2025 (UTC)

- Weak keep. I don't know a lot about this kind of thing, but there are a lot of hits on Swiss newspaper archives [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] some more significant than others. A few look pretty OK, but some are reviews of his performances. If not notable, ATD merge to his father, Dimitri (clown), who is notable. There are more but searching Scriptorium is a nightmare. - Well if the sourcing isn't good enough that's one thing but as far as I'm aware there isn't a set number of AfDs that make WP:NEXIST not apply. There are a lot of listings but there are some sources that seem to be sigcov on the man. So I am unsure. PARAKANYAA (talk) 00:09, 11 January 2025 (UTC)

- Strong delete. Forget sigcov, there is not a single source on this company whatsoever. No hits in the NZZ, nothing in the Swiss newspaper archives besides one-line mentions in advertisements [13], and the best I get from a web search amounts to database entries. Non-notable figure skater. While she did finish in first place at the 2004 Swiss Championships, her score was too low to be awarded the title of Swiss Champion. - Here is my problem with these stand-alone articles. All four disciplines are often not contested. There are often not enough competitors to award a bronze medal, and in some cases, even a silver medal. Many of these competitions featured no more than two or three participants. And most of the competitors who are listed are redlinked or unlinked (ie. themselves not notable). The competition results and scores are included (or should be included) on a skaters' individual article. The medal results are included on the parent article (in this case, Swiss Figure Skating Championships). But these nations with small national championships are just not worth trying to maintain individual articles for each competition. Bgsu98 (Talk) 09:29, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
