- As 2008 has now ended with great progress for our project, we must now look forward to a new year full of great potential! Consider joining in on more discussions, improving articles to higher levels, and recruiting new members who may be interested in helping our project. In addition, as readers look forward to films coming out this year, several new lists for 2009 would benefit with more expansion.
- Are you looking for some New Year's Resolutions? How about bringing a current B-class article up to GA/A/FA, joining a task force, or maybe just watching more films?
- Keep an eye open for a survey invitation that will be sent to your talk page next week. Our project's coordinators are interested in your opinions to determine how to better improve the project and increase communication among members. Results of the survey will be published at its conclusion.
- Our A-class review and peer reviews would benefit from some additional member participation. In addition, if you think an article meets the A-class criteria, please nominate it.
- The Lost World: Jurassic Park is currently undergoing a GAR. Please help in addressing the issues so the article can maintain its GA status.
- If you have any questions about film articles on Wikipedia, come by the Film WikiProject's community talk page and start a discussion. We will try our best to help our fellow editors!
- Our project now has nearly 49,000 film-related articles that have been assessed by our assessment department! Remember to always add the {{Film|class=}} template to a film article's talk page so the project can get a better idea of what work still needs to be done. Below is a table showing a breakdown of our articles by class. If you're interested in viewing our project's progress in relation to other projects, see here.
- Spotlight Update: Multiple films and film-related articles have reached GA/GT and FA status in December 2008.
