Seven articles passed A-class reviews during May. The regular article news section covers them, as well as four new featured pictures (all nominated by Adam Cuerden) and six featured articles.
With people in the northern hemisphere enjoying summer holidays while those in the southern hemisphere huddle at home, it's timely that our regular book review section is extra-large. Hawkeye7 has contributed three reviews of books on the Falklands War and the American nuclear weapons program. Nick-D has also reviewed an unusual book on the Japanese home front during World War II that was published by the prolific Osprey Publishing. There are also links to six reviews published elsewhere.
Another month, another edition of the MilHist article writing contest. Five editors submitted a total of 20 entries in May. Hog Farm took first place, with seven articles earning 58 points and the WikiChevrons. The runner-up was Gog the Mild with four articles and 40 points resulting in the Writer's Barnstar. Djmaschek, Pickersgill-Cunliffe and Zawed submitted the remaining entries. Editors working on articles should consider submitting them for inclusion in June's instalment of the competition.
