Pronunciation
editProper noun
editКочиш (Kočiš) m pers
- a surname from Hungarian or originating as an occupation
Usage notes
edit- Unlike the Czech and Slovak cognates, there does not exist a feminine form *Кочишова (*Kočišova), that is, the surname itself, while a masculine personal noun, is used by people of all genders. Кочишова (Kočišova) only exists as the feminine nominative form of the relational adjective Кочишов (Kočišov), such as in the phrase Кочишова фамелия (Kočišova famelija, “the Kočiš family”).
