כָּפוּל • (kafúl) (feminine כְּפוּלָה, masculine plural כְּפוּלִים, feminine plural כְּפוּלוֹת)

1. Double, dual: having two parts instead of one.

   סוכן כפול ― sokhén kafúl ― a double agent

   כוכבים כפולים ― kokhavím k'fulím ― binary stars

   רצח כפול ― rétsakh kafúl ― a double murder

   אזרחות כפולה ― 'ezrakhút k'fulá ― dual citizenship

2. Times, multiplied by: used to indicate the operation of multiplication.

   6 כפול 9 ― 6 kafúl 9 ― 6 times 9

3. Double, twice: twice as big.
4. Double, folded double.

     רָבוּעַ יִהְיֶה כָּפוּל זֶרֶת אָרְכּוֹ וְזֶרֶת רָחְבּוֹ׃

     ravúa' yihyé kafúl zéret 'orkó v'zéret rokhbó.
     rāḇū́aʿ yihye kāp̄ūl zéreṯ ʾorkō wəzéreṯ roḥbō.

     Four-square it shall be and double: a span shall be the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof.
