ס־ג־ס־ג (s-g-s-g)

From the root ס־ג־ס־ג (s-g-s-g). Like the verb סגסג (sigség, to alloy), from סיג (sig, dross, base metal) through reduplication[1], in turn derived from סוג (sug, kind, class)[2], with original verbal meaning of "to turn away, reject" as well as "to hem in, bind, fence in".[3][4].
