Appears twice in Levita's dictionary of 1542. Compare Alemannic German Schtund, German Stunde (“hour”), (archaic or poetic) Stund, Icelandic stund (“hour; a while”), Danish stund (“a while”). Doublet of שטונדע (shtunde, “hour; private lesson”)
