    Inherited from Middle Hindi آن٘کھ (ānkh) (c. 1503) / اَن٘کھ (ankh) (c. 1565),[1] from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀅𑀓𑁆𑀔𑀺 (akkhi),[2] from Sanskrit अक्षि (ákṣi).[3][4]
