editFrom African dialectal Arabic رَجِينَة (rajīna, “resin”), from Latin rēsīna (“resin”), ultimately from Ancient Greek ῥητίνη (rhētínē, “resin”). Doublet of راتینج (ratinec, “turpentine; resin”).
