From Aramaic אִילוֹל (ʾīlūl), from Akkadian 𒌗𒆥 (itieluli, month of harvest). Compare Turoyo ܐܝܠܷܢ (ilën) and also borrowed into Arabic أَيْلُول (ʔaylūl).
