Etymology
editFrom Proto-Indo-European *sep- (“to care for”). Cognate with Ancient Greek ἕπω (hépō, “to busy oneself with”), Latin sepeliō (“to bury, inter”). See also सपर्य (saparya, “to serve attentively, honor”).
