    Inherited from Prakrit 𑀓𑀭𑁂𑀇 (karei), from Ashokan Prakrit 𑀓𑀭𑁄𑀢𑀺 (karoti), from Sanskrit क॒रोति॑ (karóti), from कृ॒णोति॑ (kṛṇóti), from Proto-Indo-Iranian *kr̥náwti, from Proto-Indo-European *kʷer- + *-néwti. Compare to Sylheti ꠇꠞ (xor), Bengali কর (kor), Hindustani कर (kar) / کر (kar).

    This is a very useful verb to use in case one forgets the Assamese translation of an English verb. For example পঠা (potha, send) can be replaced with চেণ্ড কৰ (send kor).
