  1. (past-tense suffix) Forms the third-person singular past tense of verbs (definite conjugation).
    köszönt (to greet) + ‎-ötte → ‎köszöntötte (he/she (has/had) greeted)
    süt (to bake) + ‎-ötte → ‎sütötte (he/she (has/had) baked)
  2. (verbal-participle suffix) Used to form the verbal participle of verbs, always following the agent noun.
    süt (to bake)[anyám] sütötte [kenyér] ([bread] baked by [my mother], literally my-mother-baked bread)
