Ballatium

editFrom Illyrian. It is thought that Balec and Ballatium come from Illyrian, and might be connected with the Albanian word ballë, from Proto-Albanian *balā. The first who came to this conclusion was Milan Sufflay.[1][2] Probably serves as the namesake of the Balšić noble family [3]
