Harris, 1985 (photograph of a herbarium specimen showing thallus and perithecia) Growing on bark of Red Oak along the roadside of Lamkin Drive, 0.3 mile N of Middle Village Church, Emmet County, Michigan, USA; collected and identified by Richard E. Riefner (No. 81-653, 7 Aug 1981); specimen is now in the Lichen Herbarium of the New York Botanical Garden. (millimeter scale)
