editEtymology
editAcronym of trans-exclusionary homosexual male. Coined after the pattern of TERF (“trans-exclusionary radical feminist”).
Noun
editTEHM (plural TEHMs)
- (usually derogatory) A trans-exclusionary homosexual male; a gay man who holds gender-critical or anti-transgender views, particularly one who considers trans men to be women.
- 2019 June 7, Eloïse-saur-u (@WorldWearyWoman), Twitter[1]:
- Slowly for the TEHMs at the back ... not fancying a trans man (if you’re gay) doesn’t make you a transphobe. Making a big issue of it, or ironically claiming you aren’t transphobic just because you don’t find trans men attractive, means you probably are transphobic!
