"th"
editWhy not just romanize the Arabic as "th" instead of the confusing "ṯ," which most people wouldn't understand? 76.189.141.37 23:52, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
- No romanisation is perfect for everyone. What is good for one, is bad for others. "th" may mean 1) two sounds /t/ and /h/; 2) /θ/ and 3) /ð/ and it's non-standard. "ṯ" is based on a standard dictionary, is used consistently and is unambiguous. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 23:57, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
- Or 4) /tʰ/. —suzukaze (t・c) 02:25, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
