arunca
Romanian
editEtymology
editEither from Latin ēruncāre or from a + Latin runcāre, ultimately from Proto-Indo-European *h₃rewk-. Another theory proposes a Vulgar Latin *averruncāre (“to distance that which is bad”), which is less likely. [1] Compare Aromanian aruc, arucari, Megleno-Romanian runc, Occitan arronçar.

editVerb
edita arunca (third-person singular present aruncă, past participle aruncat) 1st conjugation
