editbirth-to-potty diaper (plural birth-to-potty diapers)
- (Canada, US, rare) Synonym of one-size diaper (“a type of cloth diaper which can be adjusted and lengthened to match the baby's growth, thus allowing the diaper to be worn from around birth (by a newborn) to potty-training age”).
- 2005 June 1, Kim Rosas, “BumGenius”, in Dirty Diaper Laundry[1] (Review), archived from the original on 1 April 2024:
- It was a "birth to potty" diaper[sic] that saw immediate success. The first reviews appear in January, 2006 and all refer to buying the diaper in December 2005. It is unclear if the first reviewers were testers, though that is likely the case.
- 2010 September 28, “Potty Training: Cloth Trainers”, in New & Green Baby Co.[2]:
- BabyKicks One-Size pocket diaper is both a birth-to-potty diaper and a training pant. It’s made of organic cotton and bamboo, complete with fleece around the legs for durability and softness, as well as a soft waterproof outer.
- 2016 February 20, Shahira, “Review – Popolini One Size Fitted cloth diapers”, in Dr. Shahira[3]:
- This diaper is marketed as a birth to potty diaper though it could look a little bulky for newborns/very lean babies.
Usage notes
edit- The one-size diaper is more commonly known by the birth-to-potty name (as the birth-to-potty nappy) in the Commonwealth—nappy being their word for diaper. Nevertheless, this name is still less common than one-size nappy.
