Etymology

edit

From Proto-Albanian *ende-, from Proto-Indo-European *h₁endʰ- (way, to go). Cognate to Ancient Greek ἐνθει̃ν (entheĩn, to come) and Sanskrit अध्वन् (ádhvan-, way).[1] Possibly related to ἄνδινος περίπατος (andinos perípatos), a phrase attested in Greek, possibly of Illyrian origin.[2] One might also consider a metaphorical derivation of end (to weave).

Verb

edit

endem (aorist u enda, participle endur)

  1. to gallivant (about a place), gad about, to wander
