fapt
Romanian
editEtymology
editInherited from Latin factum. Was once also the past participle of the verb face (“to do, make”), replaced by făcut after the 16th century through analogy with other -e ending third-conjugation verbs (i.e. cere > cerut, trece > trecut). Cognate to Italian fatto, French fait and Spanish hecho.
