As often with participles, the prefix ġe- is usually omitted when (ġe)boren is a non-initial part of a compound: æþelboren (noble-born), ċeorlboren (of modest birth), cyneboren (of royal birth), dēadboren (stillborn), fulboren (born on time), unboren (unborn), samboren (born early), sīþboren (born late), sundorboren (born different), þēowboren (born into slavery). Onġeboren (“inborn”) is an exception.
