höra till
Swedish
editVerb
edithöra till (present hör till, preterite hörde till, supine hört till, imperative hör till)
- to be a right and proper part of
- Klart ni ska ha öppen bar på bröllopet! Det hör till.
- Of course you should have an open bar at the wedding! It's only proper.
Usage notes
edit- See höra for senses where the stress is not on till (that is, where the verb is höra rather than the particle verb höra till).
- Might occasionally mean "hear" as well, from till sometimes denoting something happening suddenly and for a short duration. "Jag har inte hört till nåt från honom" = "I haven't heard anything from him."
