      I visited the Cathedral at Cologne on the Sunday morning and sat in the organ loft with my friend, Professor Hans Bachem, who had given me a welcome on previous occasions and was anxious to come to London as a visiting recitalist at, say, Westminster Cathedral or the Albert Hall.
