timeband (plural timebands)

  1. A fixed period of time representing a division of the day or night.
    • 2000, Anthony Ingold, Ian Yeoman, Una McMahon-Beattie, Yield Management, page 101:
      So we divide the day into 15-minute timebands, and look at the options in each of these. Within each timeband we assume the demand is concentrated on the midpoint; for example, at 05:38 in the 05:30-05:45 timeband.
