Declension

Feminine u-stems (like Proto-Norse ᚹᚨᚱᚢᛉ (waruʀ)) were very rare and tended to be reanalysed. For other instances compare the two consonant stem nouns hǫnd f (“hand”), kinn f (“cheek”), and the ō-stem noun kvern, all of which descend from original feminine u-stems.
