The station consists of one side platform and one island platform connected by a footbridge. The station is unattended. The station building is also a roadside station for Japan National Route 345.

History

Kuwagawa Station opened on 31 July 1924.[1] With the privatization of Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR East. A new station building was completed in 1993.
